I reviewed many of the comments and am amazed that no one else ( I think) mentioned the absolutely wonderful words from Jesus which point out that in his book, "A Course in Miracles", the words "it is a required course" were only intended for the 'receivers' Bill and Helen, who had initially asked for the help the Course brings. While editing, they were supposed to OMIT these words and, for some reason, DID NOT. I had always found these words to be most oppressive and hard to deal with. But now, I see Jesus does NOT intend them to be for the millions of people who read and/or do the Course. It felt 'wrong' to me and in ACIM, "wrong" is essentially absent! SUCH a relief and HUGE thanks to Erin, and Jesus of course, for this amendment to the content of the 'Course in Miracles'. This book is challenging enough without it being "mandatory"! HALLELUJAH! The best book/learning instrument on Earth doesn't need to be "required" or mandatory. It just needs to BE! ❤❤❤

( They were not, by the end “lightened- up" about it, but had;first‐-only openness-&-virtue signalled [‥as warning of behind the (white) surface]) Yes, that part Was wrong : oops by someone!,right? Because we all made the decision to come here to learn. This can be a class room or a prison (heaven or hell) depending on which mind we are in. "Ending the illusion" is another ego thought, there is a great chance we would have to come back again if we do that. If we end it we are not here anymore, just back to the Source. Hope that makes sense...

I don't believe anything about anything, especially what others tell me about what is real or false. The only thing I really know is that I love animals and feel sorry for and have love for those less fortunate and can't fend for themselves in this corrupt nasty world. Sorry to seem so blunt. I understand forgiveness to be "looking past the interpretations of the ego mind". I remind myself that the perception of separation and its miseries is not what God created. So I accept and release my perceptions recognizing that I am in the Holy Spirit's classroom and with my openness my learning is assured.

I usually fast maybe 3 days a month. I’m catholic since I knew how read, and I’m always watching church mass videos and prayers and praying as well. .. I had the bad habit of thinking with my husband once a week but it totally stopped when I started learning about deep mediations trying to know the beauty of higher self. I know I’m not wrong about fasting since doctors seem to tell me otherwise. Once I fasted for 5 days in a row and I felt wiser in a conversation, more intuitive and like if it wasn’t me, I never like or used any drugs , but it wasn’t my personality. ( I’m usually shy-introverted) I was having the answers with almost everything. It was nicely scary!

Hi Paul, child of an alcoholic and former alcoholic here. In order to stop, you need to recognize why you drink in the first place. I drank to numb myself from the emotions and trauma I experienced in my childhood. I drank because I suffered from terrible anxiety. I no longer drink now because I don't need to. I found better coping tools. 1. I'm medicated to help with my anxiety. I don't have the tools yet to manage myself without them. 2. I worked on healing from the trauma of my youth. My inner child was deeply wounded. 3. I didn't know how to live, only survive. I now know how to live. It takes time to heal. It's difficult to face the darkness of the past. I highly recommend exploring the topic of CPTSD. Tim Fletcher is a great resource here on KZbin.
