I've gone over countless tutorials on this, your detail on the front lever is like no other and has helped me like no other. One exercise I do on the monkey bars is plant my feet on the bars with arms in front lever form and I do lever row ups keeping arms straight and hold it by my waist ,it really strengthens my grip and forearms to keep my arms straighter.Thank you.

I've been waiting for this one for a long time. Especially the part about the scapulae position in front lever. I would add a small trick - once you grip the rings (or the bar) squeeze tightly with your hands, as if you are trying to crush them in your palms. From personal observation, it gives me a little bit of extra strength which matters when I have just jumped into a higher progression or longer hold.

I find the tuck to extend too much of a sudden jump in postural change and weight. Raising from the bottom will be more beneficial in the long run, definitely recommend that method. Adding dragon flag training did help me get the FL as it trains under the skill and over the skill at the same time. If your goal is FL, training FL rest Dragon Flag rest FL rest rest is a good structure to go by. 4 to 6 sets @ 50-70% maximal effort.

Hey! Please let me know how u think about the width of your hands while doing front lever, is it better to do it shoulder broad?..because i feel like if u dont have a strong retraction its impossible to hold it when ur hands are close and ur shoulders get tensed in that position, kinda weird feeling. Please, let me know as soon as u have time. Thank you!!

@R3FL3XSN1P3R

One arm pullup will use a lot of the same musculature and recovery as the front lever. If you try both, you'll have to do less of both, and progress slower. In his other vids he suggested doing one push skill and one pull skill at once

@YouTrolol
@YouTrolol 9 ай бұрын
I'll disagree with the false grip being easier. lengthening the lever should result in more force, because the shorter the lever, the more contracted you have to have your lats in order to get into the horizontal position. a longer arm lever lets you open up the angle of the shoulder which makes muscle recruitment easier (think pullups, getting to upper arms parallel is easier than going all the way up, bringing hands to shoulders). I believe geek climber did a test with this where he fashioned hooks that extended his armlength and could hold higher progressions. having said that, false grip does increase muscular tension throughout the arm, and we all know a rigid body transfers power easier than a non-rigid one. so i'm sure there's some tradeoff.
