Thank you. I couldn't make heads or tails of that sticker on the front. Very helpful to point out the rubber band covering the vent hole. I was concerned I might need to add oil to this gearbox after seeing it, but couldn't find anything about this sticker's instructions in there to let me know either way.

Any idea what to do if there is no vent hole under the rubber band on the vibrator box? Can it still be run?
@diymanual3 ай бұрын
I guess that will be best answered by the manufacturer.

Very helpful video, good job. Only comment is Bar & chain oil normally has a tackiness additive and a solvent for tree sap. It should never go in an engine.

So, the quart of oil said "bar oil" is that what you put I. The engine?
@diymanual3 ай бұрын
Yes I did it on this video. But someone pointed out that I should not use if for the engine as it is thicker. I used it for my project with the bar oil but I have to replace it with engine oil after. Thanks for pointing that out.

Finished putting mine together using your helpful video. I just need to tighten the throttle nuts tomorrow. The box had no damage but one of the oil cap was loose and machine was kind of covered in oil. I thought there is no oil in the motor itself. I also heard some kind of clinking noise in the fuel tank. Is that normal???
@diymanual6 ай бұрын
I don't notice a noise in the fuel tank. Maybe take a peek inside the tank it's probably just a loose part?
@devestv6 ай бұрын
Crazy, I removed the rubber band, and there was no hole. @diymanual

I think the rattle in the tank was the chain to the fuel cap.@@diymanual

Mine came with a tool that looks like a wrench to remove lug nuts. Did you ever figure out what that was for?
@diymanual5 ай бұрын
@@ajaxsf Hi. I actually asked the same question to Vevor support. I was told that it is the sleeve for removing the spark plug. Hope this helps.

Bar & chain oil is not the same as motor oil. I'd be careful using that. It's meant to be sticky to stay on a chain. Otherwise, thanks for the video

Did you bother to read the manual? It should have mentioned starting a compactor on hard surfaces like concrete eventually damages the unit.
@diymanual7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the input and yes I did read the manual and you just made me look at the manual again to see if I missed it but I did not see anything about starting a compactor on hard surface will damage the unit. If you have the manual please let me know what page is it located so I can check again. I don't see a problem with starting it on hard surface, because simply starting it with throttle at low position like what I did on this video will not cause it to vibrate. I would assume you mean to not let this run on hard surface? Because letting this run on a hard surface with the throttle on 3 or above will damage the unit or even crack the surface as it will start jumping around uncontrollably. It's not in the manual too but it just common sense. This video is simply to show how to setup and start the equipment. I have another video on this where I showed how to actually run this to compact a surface. And thank you for commenting because I was looking for it to include the link here but it looks like I did not post it yet. I just moved all my old files in the storage and hopefully I was able to save it. I will post it once I found it. Thanks.
