You may already know this, but Angela Odell has suggestions.for supplements on her website, listed by book. We will be using all 3 levels (again) for a high school American History credit next year, using her high school schedule which adds in videos and literature. We have used (and loved!) all books including World History.

I have watched this video a few times. You have such great energy and ideas! It looks like a lot of fun and thorough learning experience. I was wondering if you could do a video where you teach us how to do the history bowls? That sounds awesome!

Thank you so much for this! I really appreciated how you showed the inside of the book and hearing which resources you supplemented with. One question I have is how old/what grade is your student? Thank you I will subscribe! :)

Yeah! We are finishing up AS3 right now. I actually have a video on where/how I was planning to use supplements. Please note that this changed slightly throughout the course, but we did use a lot of these supplements. It's titled: Plan With Me // American History Planning // Resources and Material // Master Books America's Story. Please let me know if you have any questions. We love America's Story!!!!

I sure do! :) Check out the America's Story 1 review on my channel for what we did for AS 1 (MasterBooks America's Story 1 Curriculum Review, Tips, Supplements). There is also a Plan With Me for AS 3 (Plan With Me // American History Planning // Resources and Material // Master Books America's Story) that shows what I was planning to use (and am using) for AS 3. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

How do you use all the supplements and the reading of American History 2 . I am struggling using all my supplements? I get a great idea and get all these resources but feel stuck as how get the most out of everything ,especially with read alouds and the readings from the spin book. I guess my question is how do you schedule it all out that it isn't confusing repetitive information and still fun and engaging? Sorry if this is a lot to ask.

American History is my daughter's favorite subject, so it is very easy to incorporate a lot of materials into our days. We include the Who Was books in our morning basket and the historical fiction books into our read aloud time. We take 2 days to read each chapter in America's Story. If we have a fun project for that chapter, then we do it the rest of the week. If we don't then we continue with 2 days for the next chapter. Fridays are almost always reserved for fun songs on the Presidents, Mr. Betts, or another KZbin song that we are enjoying that go with the era that we are studying. We also do our timeline on Fridays as a review. I hope this helps!
