I love how Joe makes the most stupid comment on the first dish and Gordon shuts him down epicly. Of course Joe wouldn't let himself be humiliated on national tv so he goes with that stupid british joke. It's a miracle he was a judge for more than one season.

It's funny how you think bantering = Gordon shutting Joe down 'epicly'. It's even more of a miracle how far stupidity can take you and the other clueless people in the comments to not see that having differing opinions doesn't necessarily make one right and the other wrong.

@@krappa1234 Considering Joe isn't even a chef, and there have been multiple times in which the other two chefs disagreed with him, one of them being... well, Gordon Ramsay, I think that, in this case, having different opinions does, in fact, make one right and one wrong.

@@carljohnson621 Ah, the classic 0 IQ take: Joe isn't a chef = he is completely ignorant when it comes to food. Now let me ask you this: Given that almost all Michelin Inspectors are not "chefs" should all professional chefs discredit their opinion? Are their opinions necessarily wrong even though chefs do indeed often disagree with them? How about this: Since Gordon achieving 3 Michelin Stars is the major reason why people (like you and I) think highly of him, should we now then discredit Gordon's credentials as some "expert chef" as well? Since his quote-on-quote greatest achievement was basically bestowed upon him by the opinions/judgements of people who are NOT "chefs"? Fundamentally, at the end of the day, you don't need to be a chef to know good food. You (more likely than not) need the knowledge of food which majorly comes through experiences such as dinning in various restaurants, learning about different cultures of cuisines, understanding produces/ingredients, etc. Even Gordon himself acknowledges the insanely great importance of all of these aspects (he briefly mentioned them in Boiling Point). Now, given that Joe and Gordon come from different backgrounds when it comes to food (i.e Gordon has more of a French background while Joe is Italian), if you'd take a second to think about it, you'll realise that Joe's opinion is just as reasonably valid as Gordon's. Unfortunely, due to Joe's poor character in the first few seasons, for some reason people use this as a reason to somehow stop using their brains and discredit everything that he says despite him being perfectly reasonable at times (such as in this case).
