The settings are on the screen for the first weld, I think it was G-7. The setting for the second weld (multi-pass), is after the weld. I can't remember what that was.

Another great treatise on flux-core, Anthony. I run my Titanium Unlimited200 with flux-core & it works great even on 120V. I prefer Hobart over HF wire but it's splitting hairs when doing general maintenance. Thank you for your time, talent, and dedication to highlighting welding techniques with affordable equipment!

34:00 Hi, I'm teaching myself (well you are!) flux core welding. I live in N. Ireland and got myself at 160amp but 240v welder much like the Titanium 125 on price and settings. Your tutorial is a big help to me and I'm going to practice, practice, practice until I can lay down a weld as good as you. I like the horizontal back and fourth method, it's the one I'm most comfortable with!! On the filming and sound I'd love it if you got that 13 filter and maybe we could see what you see...that's not a complaint just a thought. The sound is fantastic. Thanks 👍

Thank you very much for watching, and I hope it's improving your skills. I picked up the #13 lens today, so I will try it before the next video. It's just so hard to get a camera to see what the eye sees, but I'm trying my best. At least you can see my torch movement, if not necessarily the actual puddle.

I first ran flux-core in welding school. My instructor let me use his Miller suitcase with .045. He made sure I checked the polarity because he knew it was DCEN. After a few minutes, I asked if I could run it DCEP to see what the difference was. His answer was an enthusiastic yes followed by a conversation about it.

Another great video! This will help me as I get some more practice in on my Easy Flux 125. The sound quality is much improved BTW. Your voice is very isolated, and without competing background noise. You might try a polarizing filter between your #10 and the camera to get more detail on the welds and cut down on the glow. If you have a pair of polarizing sunglasses, you might just throw those in front of the camera as a test instead. On another note, your channel might benefit from an "Intro series". "Intro to Flux-Core." "Intro to Stick Welding.", etc. Another idea that comes to mind: "Welding 101: Stick, Mig, Flux-Core or Tig. What You Should Use and Why." If any of these ideas or titles resonate with you, please feel free to run with them. Keep up the great work!

I have a few welders (stick and mig) but really love that little Titanium. Grab it for just about anything small/med and it just works. Ive had great luck with the blue demon E711-t11. Its a pretty decent multi pass rated wire.

It's hard to beat that little Titanium for small jobs. Blue Demon is a good wire. My favorite is Weldcote. But there are many good ones out there. Have you seen the wire videos from Mike Festiva and Brandon Lund? They are pretty good.

Beginning welder here, enjoying your videos and have learned a lot. My question is, how do you guage how fast you are making your pass? TIA!!
@AllStarWeldingSC
@AllStarWeldingSC 3 күн бұрын
Thanks for the kind comment. As for your question, I know you don't want to hear this, but it's simply a matter of practice, and reading your puddle. If it's stringy, not making full contact, and lacks fusion, then you are going too fast. If you are building it up, and it looks like fat caterpillars, then you are too slow. Similarly, if you are burning through, then you are too hot, or moving way too slow, what we call "camping out". Just aim for consistent width of the bead.

I tried to weld my muffler back onto hanger and What a MESS... not a welder but have that welder just havent used it but once... using the wire it came with and my auto darkening hemet batterys dead as it didn't darken so just kinda spot welded in a pinch with eyes closed helmet on... had wire sticking out like mad, kept cutting it, maybe poor grounding causes sporadic spark? frustrated bigtime
