Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by video game developer EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and was released in October 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; then later in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Battlefield 4 was met with positive reception. It was praised for its multiplayer mode, gameplay and graphics, but was also criticized for its short and shallow single-player campaign mode, and for its numerous bugs and glitches in the multiplayer. It was a commercial success
Battlefield 4's multiplayer contains three playable factions-the United States, China, and Russia-fighting against each other, in up to 64-player matches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (24-Player on Xbox 360 and PS3). A newly reintroduced "Commander Mode", last seen in Battlefield 2142, gives one player on each team a real-time strategy-like view of the entire map and the ability to give orders to teammates. Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and order in missile strikes on hostile targets.[7][8] A spectator mode is included, enabling players to spectate others in first or third person, as well as use a free camera to pan around the map from any angle.
On June 10, 2013, at E3, DICE featured the map "Siege of Shanghai", pitting the People's Liberation Army against the U.S. Marine Corps. The gameplay showcased Commander Mode; new weapons and vehicles; and the "Levolution" gameplay mechanic. The video displays the last of these at various points, including: a player destroying a support pillar to trap an enemy tank above it; and a large skyscraper (with an in-game objective on the top floor) collapsing in the center of the map, kicking up a massive dust cloud throughout the map and bringing the objective closer to ground level.[9] Levolution also includes effects such as shooting a fire extinguisher to fill the room with obscuring clouds, car alarms going off when stepped on, metal detectors going off once passed through, or cutting the power in a room to reduce others' visibility.[9][10]
The maps included in the main game are "Siege of Shanghai", "Paracel Storm", "Zavod 311", "Lancang Dam", "Flood Zone", "Rogue Transmission", "Hainan Resort", "Dawnbreaker", "Operation Locker" and "Golmud Railway".[11][12] The game modes on offer include Battlefield's Conquest, Domination and Rush; while adding two new game modes called Obliteration and Defuse, along with traditional game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.[12][13]
The four kits from Battlefield 3 are present in Battlefield 4 with minor tweaks. The Assault kit must now wait for the defibrillator to recharge after reviving teammates in quick succession. The
New vehicles have also been introduced. With the addition of the Chinese faction, new vehicles include the Type 99 MBT, the ZFB-05 armored car, and the Z-10W attack helicopter. Jets have also been rebalanced and put into two classes, "attack" and "stealth". The attack jets focus is mainly air-to-ground capabilities, while stealth jets focus mainly on air-to-air combat. Another vehicle added in Battlefield 4 is the addition of the RCB and DV-15 Interceptor attack boats, which function as heavily armed aquatic assault craft.

Another quick tip if youre piloting the attack helo: when you spawn in, shoot one rocket, then reload. usually you start with 8 rockets (if youre using Zuni's) and another 8 in reserve. but if you shoot one rocket and then reload, you will slowly get a few more rockets in reserve. so once you fly out of your base, you'll have 8 rockets loaded, and 16 in reserve.

yeah, on one hand, its nice that air vehicles rewards immense skill and effort, but then being able to be a unkillable deathmachine is not quite fun for the enemy team, especially if you want to try to learn one for yourself.I just hope they still do rewards big skill/time efforts on airvehicles(which they obv. will do), but also increase counter measures, especially counters that are able to be used by non pro pilots, but this would be quite hard to invent, because i myself cant really think of a sufficient enought method of nerfing them in a fair way, without making them freekills

Only way to counter both skill and teamwork is by doing the same thing, take an PLD aim at it have another player with the javelin. That is more OP than the attack heli itself

Wonder if BF2042 will have earning system, where you will have to earn for vehicles not just wait for them to respawn. BF4 servers are not really friendly for new players still trying to rank up, unlock weapons or learn machanics. I played BF4 from its launch but never got into piloting and now every enemy pilot on the server has everything unlocked and knows the meta. So kinda frustrating to try learn piloting now. Basically veterans of the game will dominate the server regardless.

awesome vid silk, however i somewhat disagree with what you said about using tows and tv's only after you put some damage in... sure if you're bum rushing the other heli then yes it's more reliable to use zunis and cannons, but the pilot has 2 tows that regen relatively quickly, and if well placed, can end the fight before it even starts. tows are much hard to dodge too as their turn radius is smaller than the tv, so in my opinion (an i'm an experienced pilot) it's best to open up with a tow, and if it misses then switching to zunis

None of the good vehicle players ever talk about what to do if you are getting farmed like this because there’s nothing you can do I really hope dice balanced vehicles vs infantry in 2042 we need AAs and better ground items that we can used but also at the same time I don’t want vehicles to be bad in 2042 because they look fun to use and I’m the type of guy that if something is op I just don’t use it like the aek I don’t need that to be good at the game I’m all about fun while staying competitive so I just hope they do a good job because I would love to have fun sniping and fighting on the ground and also flying a jet and drive a tank

Thank god we will have bots in 2042, the challenge for me outside of play time was always getting enough exposure to practice certain units, I got good with the Tank, APC and Attack Chopper, but Scout & Jets were always hard to get enough gameplay in to become useful.

Well sadly didnt mention the pilot swap exploit for tv missile. Pilots go 200+ kills on 400ticket server doing it and it ruined bf4 for me. And I use the SRAW with 27k kills as heli hunter.

While Air Swapping is technically a valid strategy, is kind of a dick move, just like it was stealing air assets from the enemy base back in BF 3. It would be more fun and challenging for both to try to land and do repairs with an engi kit, making you momentary vulnerable to infantry and give a chance for enemy heli's to come back.I dont know about you but this kind of piloting, while being super effective, sucks the joy out of the game not only for your enemies, but your own team as well.

Really hoping the new BF has better ways for troops to take down those helis, because it was nigh impossible to take them down in BF 4 (especially on maps like Shanghai). Air shouldn't become impossible to take down in any game tbh.

And I can’t go to server browser cause my mouse scroll wheel is broken😭 so I can only play the servers that acc show up cause they don’t always do. Attack Heli is only Overpowered on Shanghai because of how the map layout is suited best for it. But Attack Heli is not overpowered, a very good pilot makes it overpowered

I respect your skill dude but attack heli on shanghai is straight up sweatiness and ruining your enemies' game. There's nothing to counter the attack heli on this map. No fighter jet no attack jet no aa. If you wanna use stingers theres a million buildings the heli can hide behind. On the contrary, attack heli gets rekt on golmud.

I got in a chopper the other day on ps5 and I never do vehicles in any of the battlefields I mainly just infantry and I took off and already had a laser on me and multiple rockets in the air and got wrecked in about 15 seconds trying to fly away. Or if I'm in a tank before I get out of spawn a plane bombs me or a chopper lights me up.

I cant fly the attack helicopter in 3rd person it throws me off for some reason unlinke the little bird or jets

It is a decent play style but I don't like it at all. Basically you're using the attack helo as a transport helo with rockets and explosive cannons. As a pilot you must engage ground armored targets but in this case this guy is just hovering over the area instead of going for the tanks, once they're gone then you can focus on infantry.
