This was "Awesome" Daniel. Thanks a lot. If someone else, like me, was confused about the orientation of the axis when starting the build. You need to change the default orientation from X up to Y up

Wow... Daniël I can't believe I actually have a 3d model of my cabinet. It's SO crazy! You are a very good teacher, I hope you are earning a living as a teacher for Fusion because as a sideline you could make some real cash. You are a wonderful teacher! There are a few tiny things I have to work at, but all in all, I think you've helped me tremendously. Thank you so much for this! Can't wait for part 2 - starting now!

This series has been great, mainly as it’s been related to what I’m doing (a mini arcade cab with 5” screen). So it’s nice to see relatable examples and solutions rather than the normal “here’s how to make a box”. Cheers!

I've been using fusion 360 for 3d printing for a while now and just found your tutorial cause i want to design a pinball cab. This is one of the best fusion 360 tutorials i've ever seen. Dank u well :D

Dude, you're really doing this!? I AM SO PUMPED!!!! I've been wanting to build one of these for so long. I'm good with the 3D design stuff -- I just need help to figure out all the electronics stuff :) Glad you're doing this for people... amazing.

Daniel, thank you so much for your tutorials. They’re very educational. Couple questions, are you using a camlock system and how are you creating the vesa cuts for the monitor mount?
@TheDanielSpies_Arcades10 ай бұрын
I don't use camlocks and fully glue/screw each cabinet to give it the optimal strength. Vesa cuts are made in my CAD program usually.

Hi Daniel. You do a wonderful job on producing all of your videos. Do you have a website where I can purchase some of your other designs? Thanks. Also, could you provide a link where I can purchase the active marquee that you have in your machines? I have looked all over to find one big enough but just can't find it. Thanks.

As a side question - for a bar-top or full size machine, it’s fairly safe that regular arcade joystick/buttons would fit. However for a machine with a 5inch display, it’s a little trickier. Do you have any links/recommendations for any that would be suitable for something of this size? I’d like things to be fairly sturdy, though my plan is to have two USB inputs for game pads so the controls would be mostly ornamental. But having the option of just playing with the raw unit would be awesome. Options I’ve seen are either a) unknown dimensions b) fragile-looking and/or badly reviewed.

@@TheDanielSpies_Arcades hey, thanks for the reply. As a hobbyist doing it for fun I probably couldn’t justify hiring your services :) would be awesome to see you do a series on mini ones though, especially if it involved 3D printing and joints, not glue/nails

Excellent tutorial, thank you for taking the time to make this. Quick question, once designed, is it possible to create a template for photoshop so you're able to create your own graphics? Is that something that can be exported from fusion? Thanks!
@TheDanielSpies_Arcades Жыл бұрын
Hi, yes. Export the DXF file from fusion and open that in Illustrator. Then, save is as an pdf or PNG and you can import it in Photoshop. You might be able to open DXF in Photoshop directly, but you will need to make some changes to your DXF file anyway so I suggest Illustrator first. 👍🏼
