I needed this so much! What normally happened to me was I would create these huge tank divisions and invade the USSR but halfway through, I would run low on supplies and get pushed back to Berlin.

Thanks to your tips and a couple other videos I was able to take Poland in 17 days, pure air superiority, no attrition or supply loss, all divisions at 100%. And the night before I lost devastatingly to Poland when Britain and France got in there, don’t know why you don’t have more views, best tutorial I’ve ever followed...just conquered France, Belgium and the Netherlands in 10 days, thanks so much

If you are going to war in late 39, build civs first, if war in 37 build mils first.

Click on the old equipment and it will give you an option to change the production line to the new equipment. No key binds unfortunatly. Actually is a great idea, you should pass that along to the paradox devs.

I need a great Navy Guide. Playing as USA and restarted/reloaded a bunch trying to figure it out. I know what ships I need where depending on the Task Force's missions, but telling the game to do what I want it TO do is a whole 'nother animal for sure smh....

Current meta in my opinion is a balanced navy. Build 4 times more destroyers than capitals and build 3-5 carriers for every individual navy. Cruisers are good at destroying small vessels, destroyers soak damage and take out subs. Carriers do it all and Battleships protect carriers. Rock, paper scissors meta.

I have a problem. I can take france and poland easy. Its just a couple things when i start building civs they take to long and after finishing off poland where i would go war economy and build mils my civs are still building. (I build them in 4-5 pronvinces, is that to much?) I also have no idea what to do with production. My aim is to defeat all allies in europe by early 1940 them take the soviets. Also i can never sea lion and either im in a stalemate with britain or thet destroy my fleet. By the way i usually have 3 collabs gov with france so when i take them and turn them into vichy and that event pops up to make them my puppet i do to take their fleet as well. Please help! Thanks

If playing as USA in a 'historical' type of setting, I know military factories can wait a LITTLE while to build more, but some say building INFRASTRUCTURE early helps on things a bit later in that it supposedly gets more of the resources the USA has in the ground but I have run the game through to roughly Feb '41 a few times and I'm not seeing anything that building infrastructure helps with or if it does, it's not obvious b/c I'm not seeing higher numbers in the trade window. What am I missing on this...anyone?

You build resources as the US because US is a super late game country. All the civilian factories come back to you because you don't have to trade civilian factories away to aquire resources later. The infrastructure acts as civilian factories, and is cheaper to build early. Does that answer your question?

That is the Q, representing where new factories u build will go. The grey slots on the equipment starting at the top will fill first.

I have this problem when for example i research medium tanks 1939 then i research the medium tanks 1941 but even when i put the 1941 tanks in my production line my stockpile still gets filled with the outdated tanks

Yes, the new construction tanks will be added to your template first. U can get around this by unchecking the newer tanks under the division template -> equipment. That allows u to choose only the equipment u want to be used. Be careful though. This is micro intensive.

Whenever i play as Germany in hoi4 i seem to be low tungsten which is used for tanks, but although my tungsten is in minus, i am able to produce tanks what does that mean? (I am very new to hoi4) thanks

You can produce tanks with a production penalty. I wouldn't go more than -7 deficit. You can trade with Portugal until war starts and then you can invade Yugo or Greece for the tungsten.

Sounds like you are out of resources. Check the resource screen and you can trade 1 civilian factory for 8 steel and it should fix your problem.

It will do that automatically. You can set higher priorities for your division templates. You can also take certain types of equipment out of different templates.

Research dispersed industry/ stop moving your green factories around too much. The red bar will go away faster.
