Hey there! I wanted to answer a couple of questions I've been seeing. Many of you are asking about my lip combo. It's Charlotte Tilbury's Angel Alessandra lipstick with Jentry Kelley's My Two Cents lipgloss on top. Also the eye makeup remover I use with waterproof eye make up is Neutrogena's oil-free eye makeup remover that gets rid of waterproof mascara. It's a liquid in a bottle. Thanks for your questions! Hope you're having a good day :)

Hi Dominique! Love these tips, thank you! I have one of my own to share. If you apply two coats of mascara, use regular mascara for the first coat, and waterproof mascara for the second “top” coat. This way you still get the waterproof protection, but it is easier to remove at the end of the day. I hope this is helpful to others here. 🤗

Great video and thank you for all the tips. One thing, though, as someone who suffers from horribly dry eyes and sees an ophthalmologist more often than I'd like to because of extremely dry eyes: Waterproof mascara is actually one of the things can make dry eyes even worse because many of them contain ingredients that can irritate dry eyes. So, while they may - cosmetically - work with the artificial tears we have to use, they may also cause someone to use the tears more.

It's so nice to see you changing up your process, as well as the products. Many people use too much product, which is what leads to cakeyness, regardless of age. Thanks for sharing, and I hope you enjoyed your Sunday ❤

Absolutely. However, I never understood the analogy of "if you're young, you can pack on more product". That's when our skin is as perfect as it's EVER going to get! So unless someone has a specific issue that needs extra addressing, then WHY makeup to the point where you look like you're doing "drag" makeup!? Unfortunately, that seems Really common these days, and I think that it looks HORRENDOUS on a young person. If I had a son that brought home a young woman looking like that I would probably Lose it!!!

Ok, here goes. First Cera Ve eye repair cream (let it dry); then Loreal true match correcting concealer in 402, peach neutral; then Maybelline age rewind concealer (don’t know shade). After I apply the Maybelline concealer w/ my finger (tap it in), I stretch my eye from the outside edge to reveal product in creases! Smooth that out. Then use Elf HD powder (white & very fine). Tap over the concealer very lightly. Voila! Stays most of the day. 😊

I use to wear waterproof mascara, until 2 professional make up artist said to only use it for occasions you may cry, weddings and funerals. Evidently, over time, hard on lashes, makes them brittle, then you have a tug of war with wearing the mascara during day, the lash growth serum at night. What's your thoughts? I do enjoy your hair and make up videos and Nikol Johnson. Same age, both do hair, make up and fashion. Jeans to evening ball gowns. Learn much from both of you. From head to toe! Thank you for your ideas and taking time to explain make up techniques. So appreciate!

Try the Thrive Lash Extensions mascara, it is so good. Never smudges or flakes and when you are ready to take it off just use water and rub slightly down on the lashes and it comes right off. It is a kind of tube on the lashes which is why it comes off easily with water.

I definitely will practice on applying the concealer. It seems that no matter how little I apply, it accentuates the fine lines. Thank you Dominique for helping us all as we age gracefully. Have a lovely weekend, enjoying your new home and surroundings!
@jenA902610 ай бұрын
About the fine lines .. .I've thought about this. How far are you standing away from the mirror when you see those fine lines? How many people actually see you up that close? And if you do let them in that close, you trust them and they wouldn't care. Stand back at "stranger distance". How visible are the lines from there? Same with lip lines. Also, get a heavily pigmented concealer and rub it between your fingers to "melt" it and thin it out. Then tiny touch your pinky finger in it to pick up tiny amounts at a time. Lightly tap it on the area. Build it slowly. Then get a Q tip and roll it across the area like a tiny paint roller. You can also apply product that way if pinky finger is nit your thing. Dry concealers are the worst. Slippy concealers are the best. If you feel too shiny, get finishing powder and with the tiniest amounts, dab or stamp it. If you've put too much product on you will see the lines though. The most heavily pigmented concealer in my opinion, is dermcol but you need to use MICRO amounts. That stuff is used to cover tattoos, so don't apply it like ordinary makeup. 💜 one tube will last YEARS.

I stopped wearing liner and mascara on my bottom lash after reading an article about 20 years ago for how to appear younger. Dominique, thank you thank you for sharing your lipstick and lip gloss combination. After each of your videos I'm dying to know what kind of lipstick and gloss you are wearing because it's so shiny and I love that look and now I know... THANK YOU AGAIN!!!💋
