Really cool video, detailed and informative. Great to see you putting these out. Do you use any wire on your bait/lure setups?

Most times I tried wire those baits don’t get bit so I take my chances with mono. What has your experience been?

@@g2pangler I use wire sometimes, but I go 40lb wire (10" max) and even so I've had a couple of cutoffs on the wire, mostly on top which I believe are either big kings or cudas! Anything over 40lb I don't like using but I guess I'll have to upgrade...

Very nice basic educational video. I don't see an inflatable life vest, epirb nor long kill switch. What's your plan if you fall overboard while solo?

@@CaptainBurns2024 good call out! I did have someone with me that day filming, not fishing so he would have stopped the boat and came back for me. I do plenty of days solo with nobody else and on those days I’ve got on an inflatable PFD, Bluetooth engine kill, and a PLB and cell phone on me. I should have made that clear in this video. I’m not perfect by any means but do try to model safety best practices where I can. Thanks for watching and caring!
