I think the soil depends on the variety. I've watched several videos n some planted in clay soil. Thanks for the tips. I planted mine yesterday. I'm glad that I added manure to it. I will take extra care with watering n fertilizing. 🙏👩🏽‍🌾

Growing it indoors in UK, doing ok in the October sun but probably need to bring it in soon. Grown from seed so fingers crossed it bulks up enough, just 25cm or so shoots right now

I live in South Louisiana Robertson sugarcane grow it in my in ground garden I draw a long road about 2 1/2 feet to 3 feet wide split the road down the middle Lévesque stocks of sugarcane in those trenches covered him up and wait for them to sprout they like lots of water and sunshine

You can harvest when they are 4 ft to 7 ft, earlier the better as they are more tender

you can also make sugar cane syrup and raw sugar cane solid sugar but to muice it,you'd be best off getting a canee juicer oller,it's really bad for anything else, best is slow press mastacating juicer but you need hella processing to get sugar cane safely through that... blenders,food processor and the like aren't recommended.
