The best part of this video is when he asked him if he wanted to do more & the athlete said no. That shows a coach & athlete on the same page. This trainer trust’s that the athlete is intelligent & self aware enough to know when to end a set / session. Then he listened.

At 7:10, when he says it would be cool if teams move to a 'catapault', does that mean like with a flying start?

@@overtimeathletes I’m sure you’ve heard of “Noah Lyles” ? Go watch his video on the b skip and how he teaches it. When do you ever kick the air in front of you when sprinting ? Never

@@bpswank429 fair enough but theres a difference of how I teach it vs how his technique is.... The goal of the B Skip is to teach the hamstring to relax at the knees highest point (hip level). When the lower limb extends you shut down knee drive... If you watch videos when I coach it I'm very adamant about releasing the hamstring at hip level and then using the glute to pull towards the ground... these are in all my videos. All athletes are at different levels of their development part of teaching this is meeting them where they are at and continously sharpening the technique. If you've performed a B Skip or coached it you know this is a sequence that can take a lot of time esp with athletes who are "pullers" with dominant backside mechanics. There's levels to speed esp with football athletes who don't run track for a career.
