I wonder how it would sound with suppressors or silencers and if it would be as accurate?
@ronaldharnois91683 жыл бұрын
All Good Questions.
@theaceofspades4853 жыл бұрын
*No,and yes..let me explain.* Simply putting a supressor on a firearm does not have any significant effect on 'accuracy' (kind of) ill get bacl to this. The supressor portion does not physically make contact with the bullet at any point. It only traps the rapidly escaping gasses which are traveling behind it. This is often confused because generally if you are supressing a firearm your goal is to make it as quiet as possible. So people use sub sonic (below the sound barrier) ammunition. It is simply ammo that is loaded with less powder or heavier bullets (or both) so they move slower and don't cause a loud distinctive crack that happens during supersonic speed. Lower velocity means subsonic ammunition cant travel as far and does not have as much lethal force at long distances. You can use any regular ammo in a supressed firearm it will just simply be louder and you become more dicoverable. These guys aren't using supressors because it does not have any advantage in this competition. Supressors are not as 'quiet' as people tend to believe, even more so when using large rifle calibers. Lastly using supressors causes a lot of powder residue to go back into the firearm and they become dirtier A LOT faster this can cause a effect on accuracy. These guys are hand loading their own ammunition. They have spent hours formulating bullets to very specific measurements and often load them with more powder than off the shelf ammunition to get as much velocity and distance they can achieve once bullets leave the barrel they slow and fall below the sound barrier then become very difficult to predict where they will go at long range.
