@@rogerdat7807 didn't look like a pick slide to me, he was tapping, and he's using a flanger. I watched it a few times, you can audibly hear when he makes tiny mistakes, accidental mutes, etc. I'm not going to question you obviously know your way around a guitar, and have some amazing gear. But, I really don't see him faking this performance at all. Watch the solo.

The amount of rhythm skills this dude has is incredible. No wonder he's a Van Halen disciple. Rhythm guitar is my favorite part of Van Halen and Nuno Bettencourt has managed to digest all the lessons from him. A class act for sure, top world guitar player, been like that for more than ' 30 years, unbelievable to stay at this level so long.

Yeah, he actually injured his knee on the 2023 Monsters of Rock Cruise during their Rocker vs Joes basketball game! It actually happened a day before our interview that we did with him. I was shocked that he was able to make it and it was a complete honor to have him. Nothing but mad respect for Nuno. Nuno has a torn ACL and meniscus. He passed on surgery at the time of the injury because it would be a 6 to 8 month recovery time, forcing the cancellation of all of the touring supporting the latest album. Probable that he will have to eventually have it surgically repaired. What a trooper! 💪🏼🤟🏼

I wasn't a fan when I was younger. Actually, I gave my Pornograffitti CD to my father cause I didn't really like it, didn't like the production and some aspects of it, too many syrupy ballads for my taste at the time. But one thing is for sure, respect must be given where respect is due, the guys are extremely talented mofos! Now, I've rebought Extreme II and also the III which is really good ad underrated, imo.

It was watching a YT video of Nuno and his friends doing covers live, a few years ago, that made me think: "damn! He's really good, maybe I should give Extreme another try".
