Jecht and the possessed aeons were the most memorable part of my playthrough with a friend. I was his advisor as he went through the story for the first time, and I did my best to not spoil and actually assist the story in being more surprising. I spoke in a way that suggested Jecht didn't have a phase 2, and then when he hit the "final" blow, he was like, "YES!... Wait wha- oh FUCK" Then his whole party died on Jecht's next turn :) We didn't grind a ton so our Jecht fight took 4 hours total, including redos and watching cutscenes multiple times. I also vividly remember his reaction to having to kill the aeons. When the first got possessed, he looked back at me like "is this supposed to happen?" and I just stared ahead. (Might have faked a more sad expression to make his experience more impactful-)
