I love that they're finally paying a little attention to Ne Zha. Thank you so much for posting about these changes. Did they finally take out that random hit that does absolutely nothing? And I take it now that the 3 doesn't proc crit it makes sense to only build deathbringer for with the ult?

I was master frame in diamond-masters with Ne Zha before the nerfs, and I always built damage boots, 3 damage items, none of them crit, and 2 defense items. with a good team that can help you survive after you ult he's great. I am on console though, and people here are a bit calmer than PC players lol usually if you blink ult they don't even beads.

I'm late to this party, but I think I figured out the niche for eye of the jungle. If you invade a camp and kill only the big minion, the enemy camp will not go into cooldown until the smalls have been killed, this baits the enemy jungler into clearing said camp giving you map awareness. Granted this is incredibly situational and still a garbage passive lol.

I think the big problem with jungle starters is there's not really a dedicated pen item for ability based assassins. In-hand gods get to choose between Manakin and Eye (one has on hit and the other has attack speed so they're kinda fighting for the same gods). But gods like Bastet, Than, Cama, Rat, etc. pretty much just have to take Bumbas or maybe Eye if they think they can use the attack speed. Bumbas is a fine item to have in the game but it's just boring, but auto attack based gods get multiple choices for starter items. IMO I'd change Eye to be a more aggressive item for Pen gods (remove attack speed and give more raw power, maybe flat pen but might be too good on a starter maybe just upgrade into pen) and rework the passive a bit (I like the warding theme but make it more useful), and keep Manikin as the AA starter (probably remove the defense on it and shift it over to being more hyper carry focused). I like Bumba's being a defensive-oriented jungle starter but if it's your only real option on certain gods I think that's a problem. Right now I think gods like Arachne, Merc, Nem, Kali, etc are just better than the rest because they get access to better starter items (and just more choices in general). TLDR: Make a jungle starter item for ability focused assassins, because auto-attacking assassins have 2 options right now + Bumba's and ability assassins just get Bumba's (which shouldn't be a default choice for an assassin as more of a defensive starting item)

I think that bumba's spear (one of bumbas upgrade) is worth because 60 power and 200 health is really good stats. Also the bonus damage to structures and jungle bosses is pretty valuable

You really notice the extra chance they now have to Beads your ult. When you hit one free-hand late in the game, there was no way he would have immuned it before. Good change tbh, I love Ne Zha but making the ult fairer and giving him better damage seems like a good compromise.

Wouldn’t Bumba’s Hammer be good on junglers that autocancel? Like reducing your ability cooldowns when you can maximize Hun Batz, Susano, or Nemesis kits seems pretty good. And the health lets you stand a chance if you need to try and out trade a late game hunter or in the assassin 1v1

I'm glad someone else was willing to talk about the Ne Zha being bad for an entire season. Ever since those stupid Nerfs since late season 6 and early season 7 he has felt like shit to play in the early game and if you weren't building bruiser or tank you were basically playing old Loki late game, with the kill one person then die playstyle and it wasn't fun. Glad they are trying to address this issue now and hopefully we can see a revert to the ult base damage nerf especially since it's easier to beads now.

Idk im kinda have mixed feelings about the eye of the jungle. I agree that the passive is pretty meh but i believe its there to encourage you to counter jungle rather then just farm your side primarily. So with your own wards aswell you can light up the enemy jungle and have all that info. I haven't played the pts or seen anyone use that starter at all. So it might just look good in paper but not work well in practice.

bumbas hammer is for those with bad clear and sustain like guardians. I think they simply want to have an item that lets guardians get a bit more dmg in lategame while not having to go super squishy. And i think it is a good idea , that we get rid of the notion that assasins are "must picks" for jungle.

Honestly I still love playing Nezha after his nerve I just switched him to an auto attack assassin. Serrated edge is amazing after you shred them with your 1 sash then activate your second.

When I do play conq it's solo recently and he even felt good there. In pubs at least. I didn't realize he wasn't in a good spot. Lol.

Ne Zha ult level 1 isnt AoE, so Susano ult CAN do more damage, but if you're just hitting one god it doesnt do more. Ult level 1 for Ne Zha is 160 dmg + 250% scaling, with a chance to crit on each of the three hits. if theyre all crits (which by god they're so easy to land), the base damage comes out to 220 + 250% scaling. Susano ult level 1 is 215 + 125%. Yes, an aoe, yes a knockup , but raw single target dmg nez is gonna hit harder, and it's a much better beads burner and setup ult than most other assassin ults. I think it is fine level 1, especially for being a 90 second cd as opposed to the 100 of susanos or sometimes higher on other assassins.

Hey Mast, it looks like you built crit out of habit when it's probably not very good on Ne Zha anymore. He can't crit on the 3 now and doesn't get crit from his passive, so he works much better with a pen/bruiser build or even just straight damage to maximize his whole kit instead of just his ult crits. Crit has gone the way of the dinosaur 🦖 on him lol

Titans logic sometimes makes too much since. This assassin does to well in support lets nerf the damage but also not give them anything to compensate what we just took from them. While also in the same patch ymir isn't getting played often so let's buff the guardian that does an insane amount of damage more damage. I miss when ne zha ult did real damage

Nah manikin doesn't really need nerfs. You forget that it has absolutely no sustain whatsoever and you have to be aggressive and do it right, and if you don't you fall farther and farther behind. And they want to make starter items something that alot of gods can use and make new builds and such, instead of it being so restricted to just one or 2 items for each role. So I think manikin is fine as it is, if anything reduce the DoT.

Gotta say I super disagree with your assessment of the bumba's hammer upgrade. More than a healthy handful of junglers benefit from auto cancel in between abilities. And getting those abilities up faster is completely worth it. Sure it doesn't give you power but pen/cdr with that passive is nutty...
