We really enjoyed your video. We were camping on #55 while you were there. We were in the hybrid. We remembered seeing your RV and you with the long lense camera! We wish we had gotten a chance to visit. Matagorda is a great place to visit. We enjoyed the boardwalk a lot. We rented a 6 person golf cart and had a great time on the beach. We will have to check out your other TX videos. Thanks for your work. Enjoy.

Very nice, and great video presentation. Always enjoy your videos! Question: has the recent run-up in fuel prices effected your travel plans? We had planned longer trips in 2022, but with diesel fuel so expensive now ($5.00/gallon in Florida), think we will keep things a little closer to home.

Wes, we think about it a little more & have scheduled this year NOT zigzagging across the US but just trying to be more direct with shorter drive days. But we won’t let it stop us at all, still way too much to do & see. Safe Travels!

Are there steps at the beginning to the boardwalk? Trying to determine wheelchair accessibility.

That is a great question, Don. Unfortunately, we can't remember for certain. There are definitely steps on the other end of the boardwalk that lead down to the jetty. They were in bad shape on that end. We don't remember stairs at the entrance, but we could be wrong. We've looked through pictures we took and don't see any that show the entrance to the boardwalk.

My wife and I are here at Matagorda Bay Nature Park right now at @RVTexasY’all recommendation! There are NO steps at the beginning and smooth surface for a wheelchair all the way to the end 👍🏻

@@jonbmcd thank you for this reply. We have wanted to go there and when I saw the boardwalk I thought that would be a great way for my wife to see the beach IF she could get her wheelchair on it to begin with. Now I know we can. Thanks again!

Great park! We were there last February right before the big freeze with an Airstream Rally. Very windy and had to bail out because of the coming freeze. But we’ll be back. I think the Airstream Club has booked again - during warmer weather.
