Happy Sunday! Blanco State Park might be small, but it has a lot to offer & the location is tough to beat! Next week, we’ll be sharing more on the town of Blanco and some of the things we did while we were there. It was a busy week! If you’d like to see more on Blanco SP, check out our complete Blanco State Park Visitors' Guide: rvtexasyall.com/region-texas-hill-country/campgrounds/blanco-state-park

In these times wouldn’t a new Civilian Conservation Corps be a grand idea? Think of the parks that could be restored or created and trades learned. Thanks for taking this old widower along!

It’s such a wonderful little park! And the Blanco river is very refreshing on those hot Texas days! We can’t wait to get back there later this summer. June cannot come fast enough for us.

Loved the video! And just went to your website and read the Park Visitor's Guide. SO informative! Answered any question that one could possible have about the park (I was wondering about kayaking and fishing), as well as some you wouldn't even think to ask! Hopefully you will be creating these for all the parks you visit. This park is beautiful. Can't wait until your next video to see the town of Blanco. We live in Fort Worth and looks like we need to bring our kayaks and come check this place out!! Safe Travels and Happy Camping! (Hi to Star and Astro:)

Hi Karen! Thanks so very much! Yes, our plan is to write a full visitor guide like this for any of the State Parks, River Authority Parks, COE Parks or Forest Service Parks that we visit in Texas. Thank you for letting us know it is helpful. Here’s a link where you can see all of the park visitor guides we’ve written so far… rvtexasyall.com/texas-campgrounds-blog

Another great small state park nearby is Palmetto State Park near Luling. Historic Gonzales, TX is only 11 miles away, Shiner and the Famous Shiner Beer Brewery are only about 25 miles away and Austin and San Antonio are only an hour drive also. It is a great place to base for historic, scenic, and fun day trips as well.

I don't know if yall been to this place between Groesbeck and mexia Texas called Fort Parker state park. I'm related to Quanah Parker. The fort is still standing to this day and Quanah Parkers house best known as star house in Cache, Oklahoma but the house is bad shape in the inside but 100% worth checking out fort Parker state park and there are trails and in Groesbeck if I'm remembering right There is a a good breakfast place to eat at unless covid forced it to close down but hope not.

For the town not park. The park & river is pronounced Blonko. Per the Park Rangers & locals in town. 😊

i didn't know the history of the park, no wonder there is still one private land owner in there. i guess that is the selfish land owner who didnt want to donate their land 😂
