I have to hold my hands up and say I did doubt you did the builds yourself in the channels early days. But I’m man enough to concede I was bang out of order and really respect what your doing, what you achieve and the obvious effect your having on thousands of people …hundreds of thousands ….maybe even more. You display acts of compassion & generosity that couldn’t fail to impress even the biggest of naysayers. Your dad must absolutely be as proud as any dad could be. You don’t cut corners, you defer to your dads experience and ask his advice all the time. As a father, a son doing this is the biggest mark of respect we could receive. Every build you do is worth it. Your particular situation is unique in that the cars you purchase, no matter what the state, create content. The revenue stream is built-in, so it really doesn’t matter if there even is a loss on the car itself. Love your videos, appreciate every second of them. There is a protective short that occurs are many airbags when not properly connected. Just fixed one 2 weeks ago. This may help later in life. Cleaning up the connectors and reterminating it fixed the issue. Nice job on the BMW!

Just a note for future reference - you should never close a bonnet like that at 11:01, you can easily dent the thin metal, not to mention leave grubby marks. Best method is to hold the edge and drop from 150mm - 200mm as this is how they are designed to be closed. I have been working in the industry as a technician for around 15 years and seen lots of people dent very expensive vehicles this way, including on a Lamborghini in front of the customer… very uncomfortable watching that unfold, let me tell you. But yeah, just drop from 150mm and they close perfect every time.

@@MatArmstrongbmx Try page 342 of your owners manual, it should clarify for you the process. It says “approx 50cm” but I’ve never had trouble from around that 200mm mark, especially with a little extra oomph. Plus, I find it’s just unnecessary once you have the feel for it. The thin alloy dents super easy and doesn’t have the same elasticity of steel, meaning any dents you do leave are also harder to restore. But hey man you squish that thing if it makes you happy 👍

I think cars are mostly in these cases are written off because of the sheer amount of work hours that need to be put in. I am also shocked that basically the whole framing and engine work is less costly then a couple of sensors. I am curious if he sold it for decent money. Cracking job mate!! Not sure if youve heard of it before but for future reference 3M VHB tape is very strong for fitting trims, i used it on a bonnet lip once and the lip split in half after a crash rather than come off the bonnet😂

Lithium 12v batteries are most often killed by boosting them with a non eligable booster. Disconnect immidiatly after start if unsure
