When i bought this wrecked 2019 aston martin vantage i didn't expect it to be an easy repair, but when i heard that the dashboard has to be taken out using a crane things got so much more difficult. In this video i start assembling the front end that i managed to swindle from an aston martin race team.

If it's only 50KG then just get a mate and pick it up by hand, you hardly need to try at that weight. I've loaded alloy 4-cylinders into wagons with a friend of mine and those are over 100kg dry; we're just normal guys, not power lifters.

You know what, Mat, I’ve found your videos quite therapeutic to watch. And i realise why: your “ready for anything” cheerfulness in the face of brokenness is such a great attitude to have for all of the crises of life. Hello Mat… long time fan and loving this series. About the instrument panel… you won’t be able to just “leather over” the passenger air bag. The skin “leather” is scored to a specific thickness and in a specific area. This thickness is determined during the deployment development and is defined to allow the bag to detonate in a correct fashion and in a safe way so the timing allows the occupant to survive the impact. Without the score of the skin, you will effectively be stopping the detonation or worse not controlling the detonation. I’m pretty sure you’re looking at an OEM replacement either new 2nd hand off a damaged car down the local scrapyard/eBay etc.

Matt pal Headlights sometimes have a small switch inside the light that flicks them from left to right hand drive all the ones I’ve found are located inside under the light itself, if you dismantle one of your broken ones that will help you find the switch/metal tab to move. If not pull both sets of lights to pieces and put the uk internals in.
