Looks like Aston, with the help of some AMG parts, made a really solid car. Looks like a great car for road driving and light track work. Suspension is clearly set up towards being road biased, which is where 99% of owners will use it, so it makes perfect sense. A really nice sporty GT car.

Never understood why people complained of about Aston using the M177 in the Vantage - it's very stout and has good tuning potential. Between that and the ZF8 transaxle the powertrain should be pretty bulletproof. These Vantages are pretty underrated and a good used buy in the U.S.

Just lovely - the sound of that AMG V8 without any manufactured sound from the speakers is superb. I really dislike the additional manufactured sounds you get in many Mercedes and BMW cars when you are in Sport or Sport+ mode. I wish there was a switch to turn it off. Great video, Misha, and really enjoyed seeing an Aston on the Ring with you at the helm.

Dude! Our "older" Vantages are built for the track. They are race bred engines. Dry sump, rear weight biased, etc. I have taken mine on a handful of track days and she delivers!

If you ever get in another Vantage, next time put the ESP in track mode (Hold ESP once then once again 5 secs, track mode will show up on cluster) You were driving in transmission track map not track mode.

I get the constant comparison to the AMG GT but if you really look in to the car its not even close to an AMG apart from the engine components its All Aston they build and tune the engine, AMG just provide a solid motor that Aston basically make their own version of.

This is a beautiful car. I almost bought one. They even made these in manual one or two years I think. The softish suspension ultimately turned me off. I wanted something a little more sportier or track capable. Superb quality and quite a looker.
