I don't think I've ever seen a snooker player try this. It's all knowledge- the chess of billiards.

Absolutely loved this match the entire thing but they were shooting at stuff on this table that they would never shoot on any other but that what made it so enjoyable lol

I like this channel but I wish they wouldn’t switch to different camera angles in the middle of shot.

Great and inspiring match from both players. Learned a little.

Personally, I think the straight-forward view of the table gives us the best perspective. Yes, there are times when a "corner-camera" view tends to help (the viewers) see what the players are dealing with, but, I believe the majority of views should be the straight-forward view. Several years ago, some games were viewed from directly above the table. It was a great viewing angle, except, it didn't catch whether the players were using "follow", "draw", or, no "English". I guess it's all a matter of personal perspective.

what cue is corey playing with now? I see the meucci patch but that looks pretty plain for a meucci.

Never mind. Once I got father in to the match it was discussed. Its a temp cue from meucci while Corey is having another one made for him.

I'm not learning anything about the game. One player breaks and the other player clears the table with a series of shots I'll never make in my life. No safety, just pop, pop, pop!

That sixth game proves that Corey is living proof that there's a fine line between genius and insanity lol

The table is high in the center. The balls are rolling to both sides.

Why do a lot of commentators seem to think they know more than these seasoned pros? (Not you Mark). They even seem annoyed if they play a diffferent shot than they laid out. Hilarious!

Commentators , if you don't know what you are doing , just be quiet! tell a joke once in a while or say nice shot , don't speculate , it's ridiculous

the size of the pockets are ridiculous.. Why have a 1 pocket tournament with gigantic pockets?.. I'm 2 games in and I'm guessing there won't be a lot of uptable play in this match.. I'd be afraid of leaving a long rail bank with pockets that suck balls in like this.. Who ran this tournament?..

LOL... I'm actually winner against Corey.. Never played Alex.. But I would.. You keep missing the point, though.. When pockets are gigantic like these, it eliminates shots and shot opportunities, especially to get balls out of an opponents hole.. It also reduces opportunities in the middle game portion of one pocket, and COMPLETELY eliminates any end game strategies, or intriguing comebacks, and turns one pocket into an all out offensive game, which it's not.. Yes, I think tournament one pocket is goofy, but I do enjoy watching these guys play, and in my opinion, this is just not a very good set up, and it's not enjoyable.. Whomever is responsible for this set up really did a poor job, IMO.. Now, go ahead and make your idiot troll comment, jr..

I hope I get a chance to bet on this dummy commentator (not u Mark). It will never happen. He thinks his way is better than these two. Tks for the laff.

Truman Peyote actually he was playing. is why he 'let the cue ball go'. he could have knocked the ball out of alex pocket without sending whitey off that fast. it was a good shot.

No, not lucky. Main objective was to remove the 8, but he saw the potential of the 10. He practices a shot where he hits the cue ball into an object ball out of the kitchen, stop the CB dead, the object ball goes long rail, foot rail, opposite long rail, then the head rail, to the original long rail. OB then hits the outside of the CB and caroms 6 plus diamonds along the rail and into the corner pocket.

you're wrong. i would have tried the same shot if it occurred to me. his intent was to hit the ball that he ended up making heavy and high, thereby moving the 8 ball to his pocket and the cue ball to the other end of the table on alexs side. if you set that shot up 20 times he would do hit it heavy and high15 times. it's not that hard. he was aware that at that angle he could make the ball to end the game. furthermore if he hits the eight thinner the eight has a chance to go in his pocket, i'm sure he was aware of that also, he practices that and was practicing it that day. i was there. basically it was a free, safe shot with a chance of being a winning shot. comes up in one pocket (and 9/10 ball for that matter) all the time. rarely in eight ball or 14.1.
