Richard scores his 79th H/H match. Here's the updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: TIE: Orson Bean - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). Gary Burghoff - 80% (4 wins in 5 attempts). Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). TIE: Betty - 50% (15 wins in 30 attempts). TIE: Fannie - 50% (7 wins in 14 attempts). Charles - 45.7% (16 wins in 35 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts). Richard - 35.9% (79 wins in 220 attempts). Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). Brett - 32.1% (9 wins in 28 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 432, excluding the lost/missing episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325. (As per MatchGameProductions, these episodes "are nowhere to be found and also aren't in the Goodson/Todman Library. Sadly, looks like they are lost forever!")

Millions of people go to Vegas for a variety of reason. Only a small percent have a gambling problem. I hope she enjoys her time there!

Why does Elaine roll her tongue across her open mouth in EVERY cameo shot at the top of every show??? Lol.

Since the subject of Las Vegas came up... I loved the TV show Vega$ as a kid. Both Robert Urich and his sidekick Bart Braverman were on MatchGame.

I think they’ve used that “two for the blank” before...

I think you are right, because I was thinking didn't just use that one or did I already see this episode..
@brettmiddleton79493 жыл бұрын
Definitely. And they had the same argument about "money" vs. "show". IIRC, "seesaw" was an official panel suggestion and did appear on the list of audience answers. However, "price of one" was not on the list that time, which surprised me.

@@brettmiddleton7949 I believe before it was just "Two for ___", not "Two for the ___".

I'm sure they have, I've watched hundreds of episodes spanning every 70s version and plenty of syndicated and PM editions, there's a few questions I've heard more than once

Ok, RD is that a reference to a earlier episode where Johnny got Gene to say Howdy Duty for the super match..

Just a few observations about this episode.::: The original saying is "ONE FOR THE MONEY, TWO FOR THE SHOW". But I think the translation has been changed, or mixed up over the years. So I'm not surprised that "TWO FOR THE MONEY" was under the $500 response. I'm sure Richard wanted to pop that little weasel Gary for butting in. LOL. I could only think of "BARBIE DOLL" as well, but when she said "BARBIE BENTON"', i thought that was good to, because I' pretty sure she was on Hee Haw at the time. I guess Pat the contestant had a premonition about a nighttime version of Match Game. Because just s few months later, in Sept. '75, Match Game PM premiered as a weekly syndicated game show. And I'm wondering if Pat really said what I think she wanted to say in regards with the telephone booth question? LOL. and if she did, naturally they had to edit that out, hence the disclaimer during the credits at the end of the show. The only answer I could think of for the Columbo question was "CIGAR". "RAINCOAT" didn't cross mind at all. And finally Nipsey's words of wisdom were way ahead of its time weren't they? Because they sure can be used for today's kids as well.

"Two for the Money" was a Goodson-Todman show from the 1950's hosted by Herb Shriner.

The original children's rhyme may have gotten mixed up somehow, but it surely didn't change because then it would no longer rhyme: One for the money Two for the show Three to make ready Four to go According to wiki this has been in existence for about 200 years. As for Nipsey's words of wisdom, they were certainly wise, but I bet every human civilization since we came down from the trees would have agreed with them. I think Plato had something to say about disrespectful youth in his time.
