H/H match update and End-of-Week Recap: ... ~~~Today's action: This time it was Richard's "Grizzly" that scored our champion her seventh(!) victory. (Although Betty had another one waiting in the wings, just in case.) Today's audience match question: "Snap ________ " (My thoughts: Crackle and Pop, Dragon, Your fingers) The celebs: Charles (Dragon), Richard (Crackle and Pop), Betty (Judgement) The choice: Dragon The answers: Judgement, Dragon, Crackle and Pop Quick recap of our champion's H/H adventures: 1) Charles for $5,000, matched. 2) Richard for $1,000, matched. 3) Struck out on the audience board. 4) Charles for $1,000, didn't match -- the contestant came up blank. 5) Brett for $5,000, matched. 6) Charles for $5,000, matched. 7) ??? As is clear from the above list, our champion has tried all three regulars (but her favorite seems to be Charles). She's also matched with all three regulars, which I don't believe any contestant has done before. I'm enjoying the head-to-head segment so much with this champion, because there's some suspense about who she'll choose. (I'd love it if she picked Betty today, but something tells me it'll be Richard again.) No, it's Charles again! Wow! Since I doubt they'll have time for a second H/H today, this means that Richard is shut out for the entire week! That hasn't happened since the very early days of the program! (I started keeping more detailed records with episode 496, and since then, Richard has played at least once every single week until this one!) But back to CNR: This is his third (!) go this week and the fourth since 806. Going all the way back to episode 551, he's only played 15 times (excluding today) in all those weeks! But, he matched 10 of those 15 times, which is an extraordinary 66.7%. This will be his 58th attempt overall. A miss today will put him right back in that three-way tie with Betty and Fannie! Today's H/H question: "_______ Shave" (This one seems tough. My first thought was "Burma" Shave. But then there's "close" shave. I'll stick with my first thought.) The contestant looks serene (she's already won so much money that another $2,500 probably doesn't seem all that exciting at this point). Charles is peeking down at Betty, and his lips are moving as if he's reading suggestions. He turns to Brett and seems to be considering all the options. He writes his answer, but then looks over at Brett (and/or Bill), and then takes one last critical look at his answer. He briefly hesitates, but files it. She says "close" shave. Not bad. That was my alternate answer. Other than the time she blanked on "Part _____" (and finally said "nylon" to avoid the buzzer), she's consistently given good answers on the head-to-head. I'd say she has a good chance of matching Charles today. Charles's initial reaction is hard to read... Oh, my goodness! He did it again! "Close"! Charles scores his 30th H/H match today. ~~~The Week that Was: Only four H/H questions this time (the contestant struck out on the audience match on Monday), but with three matches this week. -- Charles 2/3, Brett 1/1 Well, this week was certainly unusual! It was the first week in recent history in which Richard didn't play the H/H at all. Instead, it was a CNR week with a guest appearance by Brett. This isn't the first time that Charles has taken the spotlight: For the week of 706-710, CNR played four times and Richard once. The following week of 711-715, CNR played three times and Richard twice. For 716-720, CNR played twice, Richard played twice, and Betty once. Quickly recapping this week's panelists: Richard ends the week absolutely unchanged for once, at 41.0%. Charles broke out of his three-way with Betty and Fannie, and now sits at an amazing 51.7% accuracy. Brett's match brings her to 40.9%, essentially tied with Richard once again. Betty didn't have a shot, so ends the week where she started: at 50%, tied with Fannie. Bill completes his sixth week (of 15), also with his stats unchanged: two matches out of three attempts. Boy, she lucked out on that one! I thought "uniform" was the obvious answer, it's a cliche'; women love a man in uniform. I've never heard of women being particularly attracted to the color white. Did you see the M G episodes with Darlene Landon? She comes on around number 717. She won over $22,000. She incidentally was on the dating game in 72 with her sister. Richard was the contestant choosing a date and he picked Darlene. They won a trip to the Bahamas. You can find the video on KZbin. Interesting that when she was on MG, her and Richard acted as if they didn't know each other.

@@kristabrewer6736 my dearly departed dad would never swear outloud anyway especially in front of his children...but one day when we were out driving with my older brother at the wheel, and my dad in the front passenger seat, i in the back. We came upon a bicyclists dude holding an icecream cone and holding up traffic, my brother honked ...#@!the guy got so startled that his arm holding the cone went up into the air and the ice along with it. Smh the dude could have been nicely ridding on the sidewalk but anyway his middle finger came up just as quick as the icecream did...lol! And my pa in all of the excitement flipped him the bird right back as we drove past.lol what fond memories 🙂 this was i the 80s,a time when there were no special areas except sidewalks for slower moving obstacles... My point being is bicyclists should stay out of the way of faster moving obstacles, oh no wait my point was that my dad just did what came natural for humans he just repeated what he saw.he thought it meant up yours...🙂
