Vegetable oil is liquid in room temperature, that's what gives chiffon cake the moistness it's know for. So definitely use vegetable oil for the best results! :)

Excuse me but what is the word you use at 2:56? The pan is not allowed to be "greased"?

yes you can't grease the pan when making chiffon cake, otherwise it will deflate right after it's out of the oven!
