0:16 warm 50 mL oil not to a boil ( 60 C ) remove from heat transfer to a bowl and add cake flour into the warm oil & stir 0:57 add milk & stir 1:23 add yolk into flour mixture and stir. 2:02 beat egg white & 3:09 soft peak. 3:16 fold meringues onto batter. 5:15 bake at 170 C for 60-70 minutes. Nice recipe

Looks so good, I will give an update when I finish cooking one. Update: Made this cake and it's absolutely delicious, a little eggy perhaps. I added Vanilla bean paste but you can swap sugar for Stevia and flour for almond or coconut flour and suit your fancy diet. Thank you for the recipe.

Mum and I have literally been making this cake nonstop for the past few weeks! We've tried so many other recipes but this one by far the fluffiest and complex in taste - almost tastes like cheesecake. The only thing is that ours kept deflating - for those who come across this issue I recommend baking at 150C (no fan) for 80-90mins :)

المقادير بالعربيه 50 مللي زيت و80 جرام دقيقه و80 ملي لبن يقلبوا جيداً ثم يضاف اليهم خمس صفار بيض وواحده السادسه بيضه كامله مع التقليب جيدا ثم في وعاء اخر نضع بياض خمس بيضات ونضرب بالمضرب الكهربائي ويضاف السكر 80 ملي وربع معلقه صغيره ملح حتى يهيج ويصبح قوامه كريمي ثم يضاف معلقتين منه على الخليط السابق الدقيق و صفار البيض ثم ثم يقلب جميع المكونات مع بعضها من تحت لفوق بحرص شدي وتصب في صينيه وتدخل الفرن على حمام مائي

I love making this cake, thank you for the recipe! I have tried using simple yogurts instead of milk to add a little extra flavor. So far Strawberry is my favorite! 😘

IT’S SO DELICIOUS!! didn’t use cake flour but regular all purpose flour and didn’t bother to warm the oil but it was still just as light and fluffy😩💕 wish I could eat some more but I don’t have a mixer I only do by hand 😅😂

Hey, so I'm making it but 50ml of oil is less than 1/4 cup. In the video it looks like a lot more. Is it really 50ml? edit: i ended up putting about 20ml more oil to achieve a consistency similar to the one in the video. It came out ok. The end batter is very light and soft prior to baking.

Super yummy just like what we sell in cake shops in China and ofc Japan. But in Europe this is not sweet enough formula. As an Asian I love this recipe and my friends who tried also loved it!!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!

Whole-Wheat Flour (Low Gluten) - Also called graham flour. It is made from the whole kernel of wheat and is higher in dietary fiber and overall nutrient content than white flours. It does not have as high a gluten level,

Thanks for the great recipe. I tried and it taste good. But 1st attempt the top of the cake cracks. 2nd attempt I try to reduce the temperature to about 150 degrees, end up the top of the cake wrinkled. Please advise

@@jennyjen1028 There are many reasons your cake didn’t turn out as the one shown in the video. I’ve used this recipe for so many times and it comes out perfect almost every time. I said almost because there’s times I didn’t make it as good due to different size of pans and eggs. If the eggs aren’t fresh, it makes a huge difference in the result too.

Hi Apron, how high is your cake pan? Is there any adjustment to baking time for a round shaped pan? How high up the sides do you pour the water for water bath? Is it mostly evaporated when baking is done? Thank you!

Hi SuperGrrl621 my cake pan is 8cm high.No need adjustment to baking time for a round shaped pan.2cm high water for the water bath.After baking, there will be no evaporation of too much water

Hi,maybe is the egg whites problem, you can try beat the egg white on high-speed until become bubble form, begin beat the egg whites on low speed added sugar separately for three times until firm peaks form, they become foamy and frothy it takes about 5-10 minutes to whip the eggs whites.

japanese cotton sponge cake 18cm square mold vegetable oil 2Tbsp low-gluten flour 2/3cup milk 1/4cup egg yolk 5 egg 1 egg whites 5 sugar 1/3cup salt 1/2tsp Bake at 170c in a water bath for 50-60min
