I tried making this yesterday and it was good! I added two teaspoons of matcha powder to the crepe as well so it would be green. I only made a few crepes (about 6) because I messed up a couple and ran out of batter. So you prob want to double the recipe if you want as many layers as this video. I found that the crepes were too hot for me to flip over using my fingers, so having both a spatula and tongs to flip it over really helps.

You may have not had as many crepes if you made them larger in diameter than she did. If you make a larger cake with the same amount of batter there would be less layers.

I love watching crepe cakes being made but don't like eating them😂 feels a little leathery after the chilling
Made this and it's very good! I added an extra teaspoon of matcha to the whipped cream because mine wasn't strong enough. I recommend making 1.5-2x more cream if you are following the recipe as is. I didn't have enough cream to spread for each layer. If you want to get the same height as the video, as someone else also commented, you should double the recipe. I used a 6in pan for the crepes and got around only half the height of the cake in the video. Good luck!
@christinechen9034 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. I made this cake today and I didn't hav enough cream. I used an 8 inch pan and got about 15 crepes but I didn't cut the edges. I would probably make the crepes even thinner and make more cream to increase the height.

I see that you have two recipes on your channel for matcha mille crepe. The other uses custard creme and veggie oil for the crepe cake instead. Which one is the original recipe? Anyone made both can tell me which tastes better too?
