A lovely outcome!! Undoubtedly the nicest example of THAT Matchbox now. I noticed you used a slightly larger drill bit to manually remove excess metal on the rivet hole befpre trying to prise it clear. Likewise on the rivet for the glass. This is very smart! Less effort and potential damage all around! I find Match Box cars too small, and not good rollers, but that's just me.😅 Paul, your process continues to refine itself as you come up against obstacles. Smart again!! You truly are the Maestro of Die-Cast Restorations on You-Tube!! ❤❤🎉

Outstanding work, I like it when you do cars that I had. If I remember correctly mine was gold colored. I had another two piece wheel Matchbox car in 1968. It was a blue Italian sports car, called an Iso Griffo.

Very nice, Paul. These were a popular car. A friend of mine has one still. They came with a 4.9 L engine as a base model or 7.0L engine. They would pass anything on the road but a petrol station!

Hello Paul , what a beautiful, sexy , american Cougar you brought us , good morning from France ! The Mercury Cougar had those large square bonnet and trunk lid that gave her this very U.S. seventies , look and of course ,a huge gas guzzling V8 engine . I had version of this Matchbox model; a later version with narrow Superfasr wheels. The axles on these were really thin and bent so easily. Even with careful play, and were virtually impossible to straighten
