We bought a place in Hingham in 75. The family that built it had lived there from 1830 til we bought it in 1975. We used to hear footsteps on the stairs and occasionally had a night time visit. by a figure in a long coat and a big hat . Scared the hell out of us. The old lady who had sold us the place said it was her father's uncle and he visited sometimes. After a couple years, it stopped so I guess he got used to us.

+ManicheanWarrior I grew up two houses away from one of the first houses built in town. In the 1800's one of the owners sons was killed as a large beam was being raised and fell on him. I would have thought he'd haunt the place, but I never heard any stories from the folks that owned it while I was growing up. Interesting stuff!

Hey Matches...straight up I've heard that same sound a few times. It's usually when I'm having trouble falling asleep or just dozing off for a nap. It sounds like someone exhaling right next to me...no wind or other noises but a clear sound of an exhale. Always thought it was just fatigue but now I'm not sure. Who knows, maybe there is something on the other side. Thanks for making feel a little less crazy.

I love Halloween it s my favorite holiday ! The Skull pipe is cool . you make a great Pipe you have many talenta and this story has really got me going ! we think we are all alone but we are not . If you like strange but true stories check out the Bell Witch of Tenn. It is so crazy . It is suppose to be the only spirit to have killed a human in the 1800s . Even President Andrew Jackson who was friends with the bells left the house and was gone . I think you would love this. Even today strange things go on . Best wishes John Thank you for your time .

+Grant Grindle You'd get a charge out of some of the "happenings" where I work. I think I mentioned a few in a previous video. I suspect there was an individual on the property who was hooked on narcotics back about the early 1900's.I've dug up numerous elixir bottles all over and I blame him/her for everything weird that happens LOL

Can't say I blame you! I was happy after 50 years of dealing with this stuff up in New Jersey, to get away from it all. I had my house blessed, and learned myself how to do it. No problems after that. But it always seemed like the more I talked about it, the more these things would happen. Almost as if it stirred things up. So I tried to stay away from this stuff as much as possible. I don't dwell on it, and you have the right idea my brother!

I had something similar happen to me twenty three years ago too but with a explanation. I was out front in the garden working. Came in for lunch, and discovered that a ring that was placed on the arm of the couch and a very small portable battery operated tv was missing. I knew that someone Creeped inside my house and quickly speed off the back way. Yes it was spooky but it would of been more scary if I had met the person face to face. Might not be around to have heard your story.

John, fellow Farmington Valleyer here,not sure if you're aware but the Hartford Tobacco Shop is having a Savinelli trunk show on Thursday night, 7-10. I went in about a month ago to pick up some Navy flake and one of the guys told me there's a group that meets once a month(10-12 fellow pipers). I have had a few experiences myself, and I live with a sensitive...she's borderline medium with these spirits and such. Wasn't really a believer for a long time until I tested her sensitivities and whatever was in the house (being that I didn't really believe in anything like that at that time) and I ended up becoming a believer, just one that tries to deny it so as to avoid further experiences! Frankly, I thought you'd have "Haunted Bookshop" in that Halloween pipe (ha ha )! Perhaps what you experienced was a sort of "memory" that resides within the house itself from an event that occurred there in the past, and under certain conditions expresses itself. You know the history of your place? Just a theory I've heard paranormal investigators use. It's got fancy name, but I can't remember it. Cheers!

You can buy pre-drilled blocks online. The drilling is what matters, so you are left to simply shape the pipe. Lots of fun!
