You know I listen to this story years ago. And was brought back to messing around with my childhood friends. Now that I listen again I realize the point John was making about having a plan sticking to it and even though it doesn't work out as planned it may turn out better. Great story telling.

One of my favorite videos of yours Matches! I've been watching your videos for close to 5 years now, and I was always a "silent watcher" (I only just recently created a KZbin account). But how I wish I could've told you how much your videos made my days. And they still continue to! You were such a gem, and you'll forever be in my memories. Pipe in peace my friend, till we finally meet somewhere, someday. With love, Sion.

John, although I always enjoy your stories, this one especially rang true for me. I think we all have our own rain soaked basement hideaway of sort ... mine is in a 800 year old ruined monastery. +ludviggsdh Thanks! I tried a pipe in college, but that went no where. Tried again in the mid 1990's figuring at some point I'd quit cigarettes, which I did in 2004. Transitioning to the pipe was very easy at that point.
