Material Ropeway for Melinda Apples

AGUDIO, our specialist for material ropeways has achieved significant advancements in optimizing in-house logistics for Melinda. The monocable ropeway with detachable LEITNER cabins, transports the apples continuously into the underground storage of Rio Maggiore, over a length of 1,3 kilometers, saving 6.000 truck rides per year. Thanks to the installation of electric roller shutters on the cabins, which open and close automatically at the stations, loading and unloading is fully automatic and requires no manual assistance. The end station will feature a 26-meter-high elevator, designed to bridge the levels within the storage facilities, further enhancing the automation and efficiency of the system.
