Yo guys, today on @RenderRam I'm gonna be showing my approach on Sherpa material using texture found here: swatchsupply.com/products/she... AND our lovely @evermotion sofa found here!: evermotion.org/shop/show_prod...

I'm working in the textile industry as a 3D designer, This kind of material is always a nightmare to recreate(helpfully not anymore), even using Scans, i will definitely try it next time, i even once tried to recreate it with vray fur and result was kind of ok. Wow You are best! What i learned from your videos is a mindset to actually recreate materials and objects in 3D, Thanks !

Just the first 10 seconds were enough to like the video, Meeneen good.

Hi! thanks for the tutorial, the material comes out very well. I have a question, if I want the material to be gray, what should I change? I tried to change the color of the map and the color of the materials, but the color does not change. Only a dustier white comes out. I mention that I render with Corona. Thanks!

can you please make it by using v-ray ?

It could even help for those super fluffy carpets, they always looks fake, flat or spiky.

Very clever Vjekoslav, don't you think that you must add some velvet or a fall of map to appear even softer?
@RenderRam Жыл бұрын
You could play with it yes! All depends on the look you’re trying to achieve. Also if displacement is super dense, an lower opacity adds to softness a lot!
@Hehe-oo2kj Жыл бұрын
Doesn't really feel so fluffy unless it's a closeup. From wide shot if you give your diffuse beige colour and play a little with displacement there is no difference.

Any idea in how to make it in Blender?
@madpike28446 ай бұрын
i think it will be better to change size of the base geometry with push mod to avoid problems

Nice trick, Thank you, it's very helpfull. Could you make a video compare Corona render and Fstorm render please ? Im using Corona render for my work like 3 years now but im switch from interior visual to product visual and i see Fstorm is amazing for product rendering, isn't it ? I consider to switch my rendering software, please give me some advice. Thank you very much.

Would it also help (for Blender users) to use a Subsurface input rather than duplicating and using transparency?
@RenderRam6 ай бұрын
Don’t know if it’s a terminology thing, but this is used with translucency, not transparency Translucency is a fake quick subsurface
@dentreveal38207 ай бұрын
How can this be done in Bender?
@RenderRam7 ай бұрын
The logic should be the same, double objects, one has displacement with translucency material
@89kessi5 ай бұрын
for Blender pleaseeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😪
@RenderRam4 ай бұрын
It’s the same logic! Replicate what I did here
@89kessi4 ай бұрын
@@RenderRam yeah? Alright I’ll try. never watched any other software tutorial so let’s see how the replicate works for me 😅 Thank you!
@RenderRam4 ай бұрын
@@89kessi you need to find translucency and displacement Apparently translucency in blender is called Translucent BSDF
@89kessi4 ай бұрын
@@RenderRam oh yeah I know I use displacement a lot in blender, it’s just something is off, feels like something in the setting of the render or the material that I can’t figure out in blender about boucle ONLY. This material drives me crazy, I just can’t bring it to look in blender like it looks in corona render I don’t know.. will keep trying I guess… :(

@@89kessi friend of mine used this technique in blender and it turned out right, good luck!

hahah lol wtf bro ?! thats deffendly not a way to do this material , there are people have slow pc anddddd no sir i dont like it , idk if it will be better if make with hair and fur hmmm i think the same result and same heavy model
@RenderRam Жыл бұрын
For hair and fur to cover a model this size would take millions and millions of hairs, not even close to ideal solution, on the other hand translucency renders fairly fast in the whole “sss” sphere, so translucency and displacement, not that big of a deal, it’s not fast, but also not THAT slow… For object duplication, also don’t see a problem with that, unless you want to clone your whole scene to make one big sherpa heaven :) And as said in the video, it’s a method I like to use, ofcourse other people have their own methods and that’s fine, just sharing my own approach. Happy renderings! :)
@sergio1991M Жыл бұрын
This is an absurd ignorant comment. This produces a good result. Its not bad just because you have a slow pc. Same thing as saying caustic are bad because theyre slow to render. Also fur would have to have transulsency on millions of strands, wich would take even more to render.
@ivanamarkovic19333 ай бұрын
I had decent result with adding little bit of self illumination on vray material, and for the renders that are not so close normal map on bump is ok :
