I feel like I’m constantly critiquing your alls take on the Kardashian. Claudia, I’m so happy you called a spade a spade. Jackie … 😕. Kim’s comment was out of touch. It’s warped in an insurmountable level of privilege, access and dismissal of a larger majority. I don’t think the the criticism was so much wrapped in her NOT having a strong work ethic - but more so her ability and ease to do work on her own accord and her own terms. That’s a level or privilege that most don’t know. And while the messaging wasn’t wrong - given all the nuances, her delivery could have been a little different. And the fact that there’s been no acknowledgement - this family doesn’t know the word “sorry” or any attempts for clarification AT all and that’s a fatal flaw.

For me the problematic part of Kim’s statement to me wasn’t so much the first part (“work hard” which they kept repeating in defense of Kim) it was the second part, “nobody wants to work hard these days”. Sorry ma’am, but we are working (sometimes multiple jobs), working for low wages, caring for our own kids (without the help of a team of Nannys), cooking for a family (we don’t have chefs), cleaning, I could go on. Totally tone deaf.
