What I really love about this clip, even more than the fact that it is some of the most incredible impromptu guitar jamming I've ever heard, is how genuinely happy they both are at the end, to have spent 6 incredible minutes being so inspired by the person sitting next to them.

No. It's just part of the chord progression Greg created and taught to mateus along the way. Actually mateus ran out of improv at that moment so he just played the chords.

What i didn't expect is that greg played some of melodic minor and other outside licks. I'm glad that blues players took something from jazz vocabulary and add them to their playing, and make it more interesting for the audience. I tired listening to the same old blues scale and pentatonic box for over than 20 years. I need some refreshment

Wow, I love Greg Koch... NO one is like him. This is the best video From NAMM hands down. And I think maybe the best on youtube right now. Imagine how good Mateus will be when he is Greg's age.
