SAME. also i honestly don't know how true this is but a lot of people say that elagabalus was a trans woman so she would use she/her pronouns. just to let you know c:
@doctortalisman98613 жыл бұрын
@@ellisscott8905 for anyone interested: iirc the roman sources that are most often quoted as proof that elagabalus was transfem are unreliable, since their authors were very hostile towards the emperor (ancient historians tended to write very subjective accounts and even make things up!). in this context, the passages about elagabalus' femininity seem more like misogynistic put-downs (claiming that another man was feminine or assumed a female role was often used as an insult by certain ancient romans) than statements of fact. some people do believe that elagabalus was a woman, though, and that's obviously totally fine, since we'll never know for sure. :)

I'm an American who watched Horrible Histories obsessively for years and it actually gave me a really good base knowledge of modern British pop culture since they were constantly parodying reality shows. When I saw two Victorian ladies on "The Only Way is Hertfordshire," I was like, oh, so that's a parody of The Only Way Is Essex which is kind of like The Jersey Shore over here. lol

We've also got Geordie Shore, which came just after Jersey Shore. Omg if you want a crash course into the kind of muggery you get in some lads it's well worth a watch... I'm a northerner, and watching it is just too accurate to real life

I just loved him as Dick Turpin and how he can change from singing and speaking like a real Georgian to suddenly talking normal and using words that came out in the 20th Century. LOL!
