Matlab Autopilot & Flight Dynamics 2012 (MINT)

The simulation shows an Autopilot. It contains a physical model of an Airplane and its control system. The Aircraft flies along a predefined route realized along the following lines:
- Modeling a rigid body for the Airplane
- Creating a graphical environment
- Implement interactive Control using a Gamepad
- Design of 3D Control System

Great stuff. Just one question: When the aircraft was in that modest climb, why did the plane have a higher airspeed? Increase in altitude/AoA should correspond to a slight decrease in airspeed no (in controlled flight)? I am a beginner so feel free to criticize.
