@@kalvino67 I own both a Martin and a Maton. The Martin I have is better than my Maton. But the Maton Messiah is the equal of any Martin- a simply superb guitar in every sense.

Nice. As an Aussie I've owned several Matons right back to the mid 60s. They always have a consistent sound with really nice necks and playability.

Lucky to own the EM100C & EM100C/12. They are absolute beasts. No need to plug them in playing at Church (400 people) - these guitars resonate so well

Did you ever the chance to compare your em100c to an ebg 808te, JR or artist? I love the design of the messiah's but I'm not sure it's actually any better even though it's quite a bit more expensive

@@vyvynylification Yes, the 808's aren't as good for strumming, they are more a fingerpicker's paradise... A JR not on hand, but I do also have a Tommy Emmanuel Artist and the Messiah stands it's ground, but it such a close comp between those thoroughbreeds!

Im an owner of 3 maton acoustics, EM100C Messiah, ECW80, EBW70C. I can truly recommend these beautiful instruments. I dont know how many nights Ive lost playing these gorgeous sounding guitars.

I had Maton build me an EM100 Messiah. Which is the same guitar without the cutaway. I also requested Maton not fit the pickup. I wanted a purely acoustic instrument. It was a gamble because I didn’t have the opportunity to play a Messiah dread without the cutaway and pickup. I couldn’t be happier. The tone is remarkably different without the cutaway. It sounds fuller with more bottom end and mids without sacrificing the highs. The Messiah is my favourite acoustic. Thanks for the great review.

I am fortunate to own the Maton messiah 808 EM100 ( with out the cutaway ) it’s has a beautiful sound , very balanced and warm . I played it at a friends funeral , with no mic straight from the front of the chapel … and it projected so well for a smaller body . I treasure mine , it’s my pride and joy .

Thanks mate, cheers! My 1st exposure to Maton coincided w my first Tommy concert. I thru all my guitars outside when I got home that nite. My neighbors dog retrieved & returned them to my front door, fortunately, (Thanks Spike)! Thank u as well for continuing my education, their model designations have not been clear to me. An 808 & a Dread, how many more?🤔
