Yes, I will make another animation for that one as well, but I will first explain how to "levitate" as he did at the end of that episode. But right now I am working on the Pole Levitation, then maybe will be the levitation. Regards.

There are 2 ways to do it, but the way he did it is by using a nylon thread. Imagine a "swing" made of nylon thread coming from above and he just put his back above (in the middle of the swing). The reason for it is that you can see the mark right in his back (under his left harm) and the letters covering above (by his head) may be the reason to conceal part of the thread. The second way is by holding his body up using his head, where he may rest his head over pole coming from the side. etc.

For the variation number 2, it was just my own idea, I don't think they sell it anywhere. For the first variation, it may cost from $1500 US to $3000 US, so is more inexpensive to do one yourself or with one who have the tools, is not worth to expense that much because that will limit you to whatever they made and not to whatever new you can come up to. You can bend the leg when walking, but not the ankle. In a TV show, thanks to camera cuts, you may not have the steel framework attached to the leg when walking, but in the next camera can you may. About the vans name brand shoe, still the same; it doesn't need to have heel. Regards.

Depending on the camera cuts, the plate is underneath the carpet & the nail barely protrude the carpet until he step on it or they may even mask it using the editing skills to make that invisible, but not need editing skills to edit it out since the head of the nail is too small to see it at the camera distance, not even at 1080 resolution would be visible. In this video the head of the nail looks too big because is always at a close up, but it wouldn't be at spectators distance. Regards.

Magicians usually go to workshops in which they have the right tools to do this. Not because the workshop owners know about how to do this themselves but also the mind of the magician is the one who have to work out any old or new ideas out with the owner of the workshop or an engineers for good results. They do sell this in magic stores but I don't know their quality nor I think anyone had made the second variation I am showing in this video at 4:20. Kind regards.

Actually with the steal behind his calf connected to the nail in the grund he already has much more support, almost enough to hold his body, the extra support that he gets from the top hinged section would only be necessary for when he holds his body at a horizontal angle. You can test this out, by standing infront of a block or box that goes up to your knee and have some one step on your foot, you will be-able to lean back quite far.

You can walk with it. The only issue is that you can't bend the ankle when walking with it and if you pay attention it may not be too noticeable in some videos but it still look funny the way some people walk because the steel framework is pretty rigid and you can't move your feet, just your leg. Last time I saw it online, they sell it in China for about $3000 to $4000 US. But you can go to your local workshop where they can cut those metal parts with special tools. Take care.

They just explained it in the video, you use a raised plate that's camouflaged exactly like the ground that has the edges sharpened to prevent shadows.

i have recently been producing some of my own prototypes and have found that the the "matrix lean" thing can withstand an average persons weight ( depending on how strong the metal is). i am still finding out a way to make it more stable as it can wobble... A LOT! but none the less this is exactly how they do

Magic is simply entertainment and should not be taken seriously, but some people really do. But yeah, magicians became popular to those who really believe that some voodoo is happening during presentations. No everybody have the same height, so it depend on the individual height, but they are all mainly of stainless steel for the greatest economical support. But the video is all I have regarding details and ideas, I don't own it and I don't have any blue print. Regards.

I'll explain you the matrix levitation. Keanu Reeves' back was bent over a block painted in green, on a green carpet, in a green room. The room sported a number of cameras placed in a circle all around the actor. The cameras were all synchronized in order to shoot one frame each, one after the other. The building, the bullets and everything else were rendered separately and composed in post. I worked on that technology, that's why I know. Cheers.

Very nice 3d animation. The thing about the nail sound "logic", let´s take a look at all those good performances from Dynamo, Cyril and Michael Jackson. There are some performances I don´t get, how the frame and the nail could work, from Cyril inside a bus to the Michael Jackson dancing performance.

This is just my personal technique, I know they sell some at 52magic.com under $2,000 US; but I don't know their quality. But I don't think the technique #2 (as you see in this video) has never been created. I was just putting 2 techniques in 1. Regards.

That's how Michael Jackson was able to do that forward tilt. with a variation of this. He had a groove in his shoe and there was a bolt that he hooked up to on the stage.

There is no such thing as levitating without connections through a hula. Or the hula evade the strings or the hula have a slit, it all depending on the performance. If you want to learn that, you'll have to make some time searching for the mask magicians since he already explained couple of them. I may do my own videos on that later. Regards.

Your point would be well taken if the people watching him were in a stationary area, but since they were walking by, then your point is not applicable. You can just leave the plate 5 minutes before the performance & 5 to 10 minutes later everyone will be different. Plus if someone is watching you putting something on the ground, who cares; no one know what's the point. To carry that plate, there are some things call "dolly cart" which are meant to lift this stuff up. Is not difficult at all.

The only portable version that I know is the one mention at 2:52 in this video. Other than that, it must be a previous set up nail, a magnet or a plate that was there before time, the magician was just waiting for the people to approach close to the set up so the illusion may beguine.

Dynamo is not the only one performing this trick, before it was Criss angel, then Cyril...among others...and then Dynamo, they ALL use this principle, I don't see any reason to see otherwise. Its not a spike but electro magnets that hold the position of the props for dynamo not that hard to set up the night before still a really good trick just don't stand too close with metal while hes doing it.

You are right Dizzyj360, Dynamo did do it on concrete. Dynamo has learned to bend reality. The people who criticise him simply can't get their heads around it, that's all, so they make up stories to explain how he does it. He's the real deal, guaranteed.

ive never seen this explained by using a nail the steel plate yes but you dont need the nail such as wider shoes with a steel footing (hidable with baggy clothes)
