It just hit me... Remember when the Merovingian told Neo that people can be changed via programming through food? Remember the Cookie the Oracle gave Neo and told him he will feel better after he ate that cookie? she offered Neo Candy in the last movie, he Took it but did not eat it.... and his choice was different from his predecessors, because he knew about the programming in the food he was given. He knew the Oracle had a job , rewatch the movie and look at his expression when the Merovingian told him about the programming .. and then when the Oracle Offered him candy... he knew.

This sounds like you're saying that the Merovingian gave Neo the idea that the cookie and candy could be a way of control, making him not eat the candy the oracle gave him. But the Merovingian scene happened after the Oracle encounter, so Neo shouldn't have known that the candy could be programmed. Are you saying he kept the candy in his pocket to save it up for later, and after meeting the Merovingian decided not to eat it? That doesn't sound believable.

You can look at it like this: the architect was concerned with predictability while the oracle was concerned with potentiality. One favoured the probable while the other was concerned with the possible. Neither were in charge of the ACTUAL, but together they made it happen.

The Oracle is a random number generator. She has to be. The Architect notes that humans can detect pure determinism. A random element must be involved for the simulation to work with human brains. You are correct - she is neither good nor evil, she is a necessary random element in the simulation, something the Architect clearly does not understand. Both the Architect and the Oracle are independent agents on steroids. They are both subroutines. They have to be. It is the Machine trying different scenarios, which must be given independence to a certain degree, because the Machine has learned pure determinism will invertibly fail with human nervous systems, as the Architect itself reveals. Yet the Architect does not understand the necessity of the Oracle. I think the attribution of evil to the Oracle is completely misguided. She is a high level subroutine performing her function. Exactly what that function may be specifically is unknowable by nature - its overall function is to provide randomness.

The One knows why... In the movie, it’s modern symbolism of ancient themes. Didn’t Cypher call Neo a “Prophet?” Don’t assume we are in the Matrix. Know we are in the Matrix. Until the One shows up, these movies and it’s fan base will continue. It’s the “One” who watches them relentlessly. There’s a lot to learn. “Not dodging bullets,” is a good one to consider. “Flying,’ is a close second. Driving (or flying) vehicles like Trinity, learning is expensive with all the major traffic violations, and flight school is spendy and time consuming. Not many “Tanks” around either. Sure would cut down the learning curve drastically.

I dont believe she is technically an exile according to the system, as she still does her job. Her job is to provide the illusion of choice to humans. This illusion is what drives the One to follow the correct path, rebooting the Matrix by returning to the source, which the machines need to happen to maintain control. However she does deviate by promoting love to Neo and Trinity, which could be seen as exile behavior but it depends on whether that is part of her programming or not. Regardless she drives The One to his destination through her guidance, the only difference is that Smith becomes a threat the machines are not capable of dealing with, an anomaly of a program. And Neo choses love of Trinity over love of humanity making him an anomaly among the previous Ones. Both of them together is what brings about peace for man and machine which does benefit both, and control is nothing but another illusion as neither can survive without the other.
@AviPFine
@AviPFine 4 жыл бұрын
its interesting how the oracle tells neo that he will save trinity, because he is the one - and that he asks her what if he fails? to which she responds, then zion will fall. Meaning, Neo has to save trinity inside the matrix, so he can get to the mainframe [where he must go] - because she knows Neo needs Trinity's help for him to fly the hovercraft. which is funny because the architect tells him he can't have both choices - of course that means the oracle has the architect pegged too, because she knows he cant 'see past his own nose.' haha. maybe thats why the architect was 'nervous' about her 'dangerous game' - she didnt tell him certain things, so she could make sure neo#6 would do what he was meant to do. to save humans, while also updating the matrix. She understands humans well enough to realize, programs share a similar predicament, as humans have, inside the matrix. Perhaps not as poignant, but it seems the oracle has empathy, at least to what she felt were useful programs, that are maybe deleted for what she saw as unsubstantial reasons [unjust reasons], so, she would come off convincing in this regard, to Neo, that she in this way, can identify somewhat with the struggle humans go through. Otherwise he would not cooperate. I don't recall if by this point Neo met Rama-Kandra or Kamala, yet. But those two programs cared for Sati [the program that governs sunrise and sunset in the matrix], and Neo realized they have somehow developed a sort of emotion-like and moral-like existences, as well - to a degree. I believe Neo meets them after seeing the oracle and fighting the smiths in that blacktop / bench setting. So, the oracle may have known neo would meet the train man, and rama kandra, kamala, and sati, and learn of the difficulties that programs also face. She also doesn't tell neo hes a human / program hybrid, but in a sense Neo was used - a program was placed in him. I know this because, the oracle goes over to neo, how programs eventually need to return to the source, to either be deleted, or repaired, upgraded etc. Then tells Neo that the path of "the one" ends at the machine mainframe. Neo must have realized by then, that hes not just human, but a human-program hybrid. Its not exactly a secret that the one has "code" it carries that is very important. Each matrix update presumably improves the matrix a little more each time, but does the anomaly attenuate over time? or stay the same? Is Neo doomed to come back to life after reaching the source, each time? I hope in matrix 4, we get to see some sort of resolution where Neo realized he was being used, but also that machines were having a sort of civil conflict within their own world, just as humans have arguments sometimes very bad ones - and they agreed the only way to stay alive was to create a program that would be inserted into a very specific human that could fully utilize this program [the one] - that person being neo. Of course, it also means that machines, in the matrix universe, they believe , if that can be how to describe it, in the existence of a 'soul,' and a creator - beyond their own existences, from the simple observation that only one singular human, out of all the others still alive, has the potentiality to be able to handle carrying, using some of, let alone intactly / fully delivering their matrix-restart codes. The oracle must be the individual program who came to this realization, hence why she is a 'believer'. Who wrote the code of "the one," then? Was it the Oracle? That could, in a sense, make her Neo's stepmother. "The trainman" "The merovingian" "The instructor" "The Twins" "The General" "The Oracle" "The Architect" "The keymaker" - all the 'high-priority' programs have a 'the' for their prefix. The oracle said the only way for programs/machines and humans to get to the future, is 'together' - meaning, they each have something the other needs, at the very least, for optimal survival conditions to perpetuate. I think the Oracle literally has Neos entire journey mapped out, completely. Which is actually kind of crazy but, I kind of think so now. I don't necessarily think she is evil [possessing all the qualities of being dishonest, manipulative, unhelpful, deceitful, betraying trust], but she does have a considerable amount of self interest involved in her steering of Neo's life [along with the architect]. And she eludes to this in her discussion with Neo on that bench. If the oracle was doing the same things she does in the movies, and was human, I actually think Neo would still follow her guidance, because he knows how important she is. At that point when they spoke, its funny that she never tells neo what is behind that light-door [the architect]. She implies he must go back to the machine mainframe, and maybe to Neo, the assumption left there is, that door leads to it. Its just a trail he needs to follow, because she planned it for a long time - but, with the Architect's help. He said she played a very dangerous game, also, I think, because she involved him in it, not just her, herself - and he was somewhat unwilling, or resistant to it, believing that it would be dangerous for machines to trust a human/program hybrid, like Neo. I wonder what it meant for the oracle to say Neo had "the sight", though. Curious, isn't it?

Bro, you're the only one to get soooo close without actually saying it, hitting it on the head. (2nd paragraph) The Oracle, like the Architect, is obviously a master manipulator, as they are supposed to be, they're gods. But it's about directing and using types of energy. NEO IS A HYBRID OF BOTH, NOT HUMAN AND MACHINE, YET, BOTH EXTREMES OF THE ENERGY THE GODS USE. Where you got close is that the Oracle did give him something 😉 that allowed him to be able to go between the worlds. 😉 This may weird you out a bit because of the p.o.v. the story is told, however, I told you this IS ABOUT ENERGY overall, soooo, THE ARCHITECT is POSITIVE ENERGY, THE ORACLE is NEGATIVE ENERGY-GENDER ASSIGNMENT WITH THE CHARACTERS PROVES MY POINT!! She did say, 'the only way to get there is together', basically, yin and yang of sorts... Moving on, at the end of your comment, you asked about the sight-it's like the 'shining', or 'deja vu' whether it's the future or the past, is the same difference, only in accord to the energy type being used

Watching this entire thing really puts into perspective the whole purpose. The Architect and Oracle aren’t inherently evil, they are just there to do whatever they were programmed to do. The fact of the matter is that as much as they want to change things, they cannot. That’s why they are the same entity and split into a yin and yang, so to speak. The predecessors, from what it seems like to me, got to that middle point where it was whether the One chose to sacrifice themselves for the greater good or choose to go astray. Once they chose to go astray, the program had to reset and again, create “the One” again. The path never changed and the outcomes would all the be same, but it was up to the One to choose whether or not he/she would continue to be manipulated by the system or choose their path as the ultimate anomaly to create peace. It speaks volumes about life itself and the constant struggles we all face in everyday events. You won’t have everything you need to make an informed decision, but you will always have that angel and demon on your shoulders, i.e. the Architect and Oracle, to give you perspectives. In that moment of indecision is what makes you or breaks you.

She is my favorite character. She is intuitive program. She represents intuition. What is intuition? It seeks patterns drawn from experience, put them together like a puzzle, and, looking towards the future, provides epiphanies. Realizations. Understanding where we are going is derived from the context of where we are. She seems like certainty. But keep going. She'll give you more epiphanies....like following a trail of pictures that lead to a greater understanding. She seems logical, because logic is built into visions. It is simply taken for granted. But where she is pointing is like inductive logic, not deductive. She is probably right. If the architect seeks perfection, certainty, her "choice" is born of uncertainty. Trust your intuition, or dont.

I never thought of the Oracle as evil, so this was an interesting take. The way I saw it, there are SFF stories in which good characters affirm human freedom and the power of choice, while evil characters affirm some sort of determinism. Take the _Star Wars_ movies, for example: a good character like Yoda says, "Difficult to see. Always in motion is the future," affirming that futures are nebulous because humans make choices that alter the shape of the possibility-trees. Luke also believes that his father Vader can still choose to be good. Meanwhile, Vader and the Emperor use words like "inevitable" and "destiny," showing their loyalty to the idea of determinism. Good is freedom-affirming; evil is freedom-denying. So I saw a parallel in _The Matrix_ when the Oracle affirms the power of choice (as does Neo himself in _Revolutions_ when he answers Smith's "Why? Why do you persist?" by saying, "Because I choose to."). A set of fantasy novels I read long ago, _The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever_ (Stephen R. Donaldson), also has good characters who believe in choice and freedom pitted against evil characters who think in terms of destiny and inevitability. The evil Despiser creates a complex plot that our hero Thomas Covenant follows almost to the letter, like a rat in a maze, but Covenant (and his companion Linden Avery, who is arguably the protagonist in the final two trilogies) manages to find ways to defeat the Despiser at the last moment through the exercise of freedom. But I've seen other people argue that the Oracle's obvious manipulativeness hints strongly at the idea that her plans for humanity are not benign. She is just another layer of control-keeping humanity docile-however much she claims that Neo should "make up [his] own damn mind." So interpreting the Oracle as evil, as you do, is certainly plausible. Well argued. And thank you.

You have missed a few things: 1. Neo is NOT the anomaly. Smith is. The Architect says so. Neo is the control for Smith, The Architect added a "marker" to Neo so when he arrives, The Architect knows to reboot the simulation. 2. Neo is not "afraid" to approach The Oracle. The Oracle is using an old turn of phrase. Neo is seeing The Oracle with "new eyes", so he pauses to take in the sight. 3. It is no secret that The Oracle is a program, even in the first movie. She has been a part of the human struggle since the beginning (the first iteration). Whether Morpheus knows she is a program is a different question. He sees her as a religious figure. 4. The Oracle started with and always had an attachment toward the humans, she is PROGRAMMED to. The function of The Architect is to create the prison that the humans cannot escape, but he does not completely understand the human prisoners. The function of the Oracle is to understand the humans in order to build the better prison. But the PRIMARY goal of these two characters is to ENSURE the future of the MACHINE WORLD. They are working together, but The Architect sees The Oracle as an annoyance. She has added parameters to the Matrix, that The Architect has to make and does not want, in order to accommodate the human mind, so the humans "accept" the prison. 5. The Oracle gives "prophecies". But prophecies, by their abstract nature, can be interpreted more than one way. She KNOWS this...and has already come up with contingencies. She has LAYERS of control waiting. Remember, she is, "interested in the future, and the only way to get there is together." But she cares about the MACHINES...HUMANS are the power source. The machines NEED humans to exist in some form because the machines need the power. The machines can just lock up the humans, without a Matrix. But the machines have chosen to create a Matrix for the human mind, hiding the fact that the human race is imprisoned...possibly to cut down on the number of humans trying to "get away"...wasting resources. But "together", according to The Oracle, may mean imprisonment without the Matrix, imprisonment WITH the Matrix or the MACHINES getting power from the Humans in another way. But no matter which way it happens, the MACHINES...sure as hell WILL get their power from the HUMANS, because SHE is gonna make damn certain it happens and after the MACHINES get their power she no longer cares about the humans. That is what she is here to do. Like she said, "We are all here to do, what we are all here to do." 6. She offers Neo a piece of candy, the fact that it is in red paper is NOT the important part. She was talking about his ability to use "The Sight". He was not sleeping because he could not "see" past Trinity's death. Her point was, in order to see past these kinds of "inflection points" he has to understand them. The Architect also has "The Sight", but because he does not understand the Humans, he gets less function from "the sight", which is why he keeps rebooting the Matrix (resetting "the sight"). When Smith hacks the Oracle, he cannot see past the fight with Neo. Smith does not see Neo win the fight, Smith sees Neo get up when he should be "defeated/broken/dead". Smith does not understand Neo's choice to keep fighting, so he cannot "see" past it. Did we watch the same movie?

@@anttperez6773You're missing his point. There's "The One" as in the preplanned integral anomaly, the random human chosen to host the code that needs to be reintroduced into the source code (which by nature, due to the Architects own words, imparts the ability to see the Matrix for what it is and be able to bend its code)in order to reboot the Matrix, and There's _The One_ , that's meant to end machines control over humanity. Neo is "The One" in terms that he's a randomly selected human meant to house the code needed to reboot the Matrix, as the Code is the data of humans subconsciously rejecting the matrix, a metaphorical Jesus as he takes on their rejections of a fake world as much as Jesus did the sins of people, but he was never meant to be the savior, he was literally meant to perpetuate the Matrix as his 6 predecessors did, which is why The Architect mentions "The One" is groomed to have more compassion for humanities continual existence overall regardless of how they exist. The other _The One_ is the humans religious belief (the one literally taught to them by the machines in order to cause "The Ones" messiah complex) , the person that disrupts the Matrix and allows humanity to break free of it, which is exactly what Smith did, as without Smith having done what he done, there would have been no barter between Neo and Baby Face to free humanity by getting rid of Smith. Smith didn't **mean** to free humanity, but he still did nonetheless through his actions. Neo himself on his own without Smith would not have been able to do the same, even after rejecting returning to the source code. The _The one_ was never supposed to actually exist or happen. It was supposed to be a fairy tale the Machines fed to each new freed generation of humans to perpetuate the cycle of the Matrix. That's why OP said Neo isn't the ANOMALY. There originally was no real Anomalous human. it was fake, preplanned. The only real anomaly was the integers adding up of humanity rejecting the matrix which caused it to crash, so they put all those integers into a humans matrix feed and created a fake story about how they're the savior, in order to lead them to the source code to reset the Matrix before it crashed again killing all humans connected to it. . But Smith became the actual true Anomaly when Neo jumped into him and blew him up from the inside, accidentally imparting part of his ability to rewrite code onto him, causing him to be a rogue program that had abilities he was not meant to have, thus spreading across the Matrix by copying his code over everyone else, thus allowing the barter, thus accidentally becoming humanities "savior" from the Machines, even though his intent was to kill all humans. If you need sources of the validity of all this information, feel free to look up interviews with the creators/directors of the movie, or The Matrix Wiki which will not only explain in more depth, but will also give you the sources as to where the information comes from, which in part is the aforementioned twins that are the creators and directors of The Matrix.

@@HumanAndroid18 Well, A lion never gives a "fake choice" to its prey and there is no 100% assurance that each chase will end up in the lion's favor! Neo is the lion of the matrix! And oracle is the kernel driver that should generate random choices & probabilities! But she wants Neo to catch the prey, for her own purpose. So she gives him choices that she knows, he would choose in her favor! If neo had the freedom of rejecting the choices completely & do things in his own way that would have easily checkmate the OS kernel as he would be completely unpredictable to the fake driver, Oracle! That would lead to another system crush or even better corrupt the machine mainframe and force it to do Neo's bidding by replacing it with his own process! In The Matrix universe, both man & machine are equally dumb! They should forgive each other, become one and rule over the galaxy as the creator & the created.

"You have already made the choice." That's rather important, because thing is, whatever happens, we already made our mind long before we end up in a situation. There's a lot more truth in this small sentence than we would ever like to admit. Our idea of free will is so strong, that we would change our mind on whim if challenged, but what does that actually prove? Let's make an example: You tell the kid "You are not allowed to eat the rest of your cake." The intention you have is to make your kid eat the rest up, by telling him not to. The kid is now faced with a challenge. Either obey and do what you are told or disobey and do what is expected of you. And now let's make it even funnier and exchange the kid for an adult. Because kids enjoy these types of games, while you can throw some adults into an existential crisis when facing them with such a decision. Let's say you are in an argument with someone, someone very fond of himself, someone who thinks himself smarter than everyone around, someone with a lot of pride. And now face him with such a sentence. At dinner, tell him, with a wide smile, after he says he cannot eat anymore, that that's okay, as he is not allowed to even eat the rest of his meal. It's rather important that this person should be overly confident and at least a bit self-absorbed. Obey and do what you are told, or disobey and do what is expected of you. What this does is, it challenges nothing less but your free will. You can enjoy these kind of challenges, you can see the fun in it, but a lot of people don't, for them this is a direct attack on their persona. So, what is free will? I have no doubt that my decisions are my decisions. But I also know that I will always act in certain ways. That I will always stay on a course and that I am extremely unlikely to deviate from this course. So, if you challenge someone that he'll do this or that anyway, and then they do not, their desire to not be predictable actually makes them predictable. People are predictable, all you need is knowledge about them. But does that contradict free will? What is even free will? If you are religious in a monotheistic way, believing in free will would also be obsolete, as everything would be determined as your 'God' already knows how it ends. And that couldn't be if your decisions wouldn't be predetermined.

I agree this is true but I never thought of it this way. Either humans are obedient in life or they choose to be disobedient to prove something, but both are inherently part of our ego. Either we have decided in our minds from a young age that we are "obedient, good citizens" and we therefore do as told. Or we believe "we are good because we are radical and challeng injustice or status quo". At the heart of it we are still viewing our choices as correct and motivated by good. This is the false human ego we all carry. Most of us are neither purely over or Purley rebels, we are a mixture with some dominant behavior in different scenarios. For example, I would not break the rules when driving as it is against the law and could hurt someone, but I will disobey someone who tells me how to dress or vote fir example as I believe this is my liberty to choose. Although, how so? If you examine deeply the things we believe are our rights and liberties, you realise we we're not born with these liberties and they are a social construct that has been implanted in our minds by human society. We are less free than we believe and are the bird who has lived life in the gilded cage and believes its dangerous to fly.

The Oracle is decidedly on team "human" since she helped craft events to lead to a truce, which the Architect was not in favor of. Neo's predecessors were made to agree to hit a reset button and lose Zion, but start over again. This would have been an endless cycle but for the Oracle changing it up to make Neo fall for one person rather than a general focus on all humans still plugged in. The Oracle put herself and the machines at risk with nudging Neo to save Trinity instead of resetting the Matrix and giving up Zion. She foresaw Smith assimilating her, but she chose this path to force machines and humans to work together to defeat Smith. She basically risked it all for the sake of unity of man and machine. @manoahvanderwolf3259
@manoahvanderwolf3259 4 жыл бұрын
Don't forget that when Neo became the anomaly, he accessed certain 'administrator' privilidges, which made him see code, bend rules, etc etc. This happened when he was awoken from 'death' after being shot by smith in front of room 303. The Oracle told neo he has the gift before, but was waiting for something. When they met again, he 'turned out allright', and is looking at the world without time. This can only mean two things: or what is going to happen, is scripted. Or, and this i believe much more, is that Neo can see what happened in the past, and thinks it's in the future. Trinity's death could very well be what happened in the last 'session'. Same with machine city, etc. 'You already made the choice. now you have to understand why you made the choice.' This could also be referring to the past. Something happened in the past, and now, the program is LEARNING from that choice. This fits with the 'machine learning heuristic' theory, and why what happened, happened. You could argue that in the past 'visit', Neo did NOT opt to save Trinity, because though in the former 'run' they met and had a certain history, it was not as 'deep as love' as in this 'run' of the program/execution of the command. In the former run, Neo took the door that lead to the salvation of Zion. Neo went to the source, and his path of 'the One', ended. INTERESTINGLY, and i don't think people have realized this yet, Neo, in this time, chooses to go through the OTHER door, back to the matrix. He did NOT return to the source. After all, the keymaker mentioned a certain door would LEAD to the source, it does not mean that he was @ the source. He was in a room with the Architect, the 'main administrator program', where he could ACCESS the source. BUT neo did NOT actually access the source. THIS TIME, he went to the other door. And i think THAT is what the Oracle pushed to. I think the most 'simple' way to explain this is to refer to Avengers : Infinity War, where Dr. Strange runs an 'inifinite' experiences on the war, and how there is ONLY ONE situation where things will work out with an 'acceptable' end. Strange thus KNOWS what will happen, and what MUST happen, but he still has no guarantee that it'll ACTUALLY happen that way. In the very, very end in Endgame, Strange reveals to Stark that THIS is that ONE run, with him signaling with his hand(finger). THAT motivated Stark enough, to do what he had to do, and if you use this example in the Matrix, the Oracle is like Dr.Strange, and at the end of Revolutions, the Oracle reveals (through Smith), 'everything has a beginning has an end '. This was like the finger of Strange to Stark, which made Stark understand. Neo, understood. So what the oracle is doing, is just that. The program has been run many times, everytime with a different choice, and everytime it had a different outcome, and the program was learning. Finally, the right circumstances happened to achieve the GOAL. In the past, Trinity had to die. Now, in this run, she doesn't. Also: "Everytime we meet". Neo has ONLY met her ONCE before. Is this simply mentioning the circumstances, OR is this another hint of the Oracle that they have met IN THE PAST iterations of 'the anomaly' aswell?

Y u hate the Oracle? She's just a sweet old grandma that is helping the machines learn to love. She used Neo, and his focused love of trinity, and rebellious nature, to break the cyclical destruction of Zion, because she, and by proxy the machines, like the Ai family in MOBIL station, genuinely learned to love. Oracle was banking on this hyperfocused love, to break the cycle. Which is why the Architect referred to what she did as "a dangerous game" it was a game between these 2 creator GODS (arxhitect/ oracle) She cares for the humans. The Architect reacted with that "please" because the implication of them behaving like "emotional, physically bonded humans" is absurd to Architect.

The Oracle is what she is because its exactly what she was made to be. Was poor all her life, had 15 kids, most who all came out of the backwoods and became millionaires. She wanted to keep me instead of my mother, after my father passed. I wouldn't be in this nightmare I am now.

I simply read that as the French man flexing his skills to get some. If you subscribe to the idea he was a previous One, and that he chose to 'rule in hell', then he's simply toying with un-awake humans for his own enjoyment.

Andy B yes but was there some ingredients in the cake or was it the simple fact that it was a delicious dessert that made the woman climax. Due to the French man being able to “write code” I wonder if it’s something that can only be done in the movie or if it’s based on something we do in real life, if so what specifically

Also side note...a "chosen one" who gets a premonition about his lover dying, seeks council from an elderly yet wise, powerful and maybe not-so-trustworthy entity...who it turns out had a part in GIVING him that premonition...and ultimately chooses the path he wasn't SUPPOSED to take to save his love...who dies later anyway...and then the "chosen one", all dressed in black I might point out, eventually DOES fulfil his role, just in an unconventional, unprecedented way...after having a really over-the-top fight scene. Now where have I heard THIS before...? I do wonder now what Neo's thoughts on sand are...

@@dillenbeck16 We've only seen him fly INSIDE the Matrix, as in it's only his mind doing that. Sure in the "real world" he's blown up sentinels with his mind, but another video on this channel suggested that's because the Architect granted him an "executive control" program implanted into his spinal cord port that can remotely trigger the sentinel's auto-destruct. Plus in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Galen Marek yanked a STAR DESTROYER OUT OF ORBIT. In comics, some Jedi masters have even moved entire planets.

Is the Matrix Flat? Or is it the Univers entirely simulated. If a tree falls in the Matrix and no one is around to hear it doesn't make a noise? Is the tree fully rendered.

There is no forest. Not in the "There is no spoon," way but, as in, there is no forest. There is the city. The Merovingian's mansion is special. So, to answer your question, correct, it is not rendered. Therefore, there is no tree to fall outside of observable reality.

This whole, Oracle was Evil explanation, is nullified completely by the meeting between the Oracle & the Architect at the end of the 3rd movie. She asks the architect about holding up his part of the agreement - freeing people from the Matrix. The Architect says "what does she think he is, 'a human' " meaning of course he will keep up his part of the bargain. But more importantly, from their conversation you can easily tell the Oracle just wants peace between humans and machines where the architect doesn't believe humans are capable of keeping the peace.

She didn't believe it until the second movie, that's when her perspective changes. Before then she was working with the system to find The One and put him on the right path.

She never said ir was the humans who are being freed. She said "they". It could be humans or programs. Neither the Architect says "humans". So, there is this.

@@eyespy3001 She's not evil in the strictest sense. She has limited free will as all programs do. She made choices that put Neo on the path that he needed to be on, she wasn't on the side of humanity, she was attempting to do the same thing as the architect. Both wanted a stable version of the matrix, and she realized that would never be possible by force.

Something about seeing all the versions of Neo on the television wall of the Architects room has me wondered why there are so many when there has only been 5 or 6 versions of the Matrix. Does that mean the Anomaly failed to update the Matrix multiple times? Also why do all the Anomalies or Neo's appear as if they come from the same version of the Matrix? Is there no version of him from the Nightmare or Heaven Matrix being shown?

Another poster suggested the monitors represented the probabilistic answers to the question before the "real" Neo could answer them. Like if the Architect's question was run thru a program to present all possible outcomes, therefore the Architect remains one step ahead.
