I cannot imagine you are a parent with this logic. There are a million things that could’ve gone wrong. I would never leave my kid asleep anywhere. Sooooo completely reckless and insane

Consider these: 1. Internet lags (you are in the SEA) what happens if one of the kids chokes? Or something else, cruises are huge, multiple floors, whos to say they were on the same floor as their children? The internet lag may also mean you are not seeing the facetime in realtime 2. Kids are in two separate rooms, I mean what are you thinking? 3. Worst case scenario, there is an emergency on the cruise requiring immediate evacuation, which kid are they getting first, if any? 4. "They are safe coz they are locked in the room". Do people realize how easy it is to get hold of keys in cruises and hotels. Plus they are influencers, their names are known, anyone can use this info to get keys to their kid's rooms. NO ONE IS OVERREACTING. this was a really poor decision on their part.

The amount of strangers that probably knew the babies were alone should make them be scared. Madeline McCann was kidnapped with her parents 3 minutes away! CPS better do their jobs. These kids are too immature to be raising babies.

3) is even worse when you consider they wouldn't have even been allowed back to their cabin if an evacuation was necessary. They'd be forced to go to their muster station which are basically their assigned spot for emergencies

I cannot imagine leaving 2 babies alone in a cabin. They could wake up at any time so thats not a defence.

If you can't see the problem, you too are irresponsible. One minute away. BS. The Main Dining Room and the cabins are on separate floors. Not equivalent to the adjacent bedroom at home.

The two words that keep repeating in my mind was Madeleine McCann. Wasn't it a similar situation in which the parents were on a date, while the children were asleep? While I can appreciate they tried to take certain precautions in the cruise, it is not as same as having your child sleep next door inside YOUR own house. Madeleine McCann is a cautionary tale that should not be taken lightly.

Cruises are the easiest place to steal kids! I bet people knew they left babies ALONE! People watch other people, especially if they are with kids. Madeline’s parents were only 3 minutes away! They should be arrested and criminally charged with child endangerment.

Even as someone who doesn’t have kids yet, I see this as a terrible idea. Why didn’t they just hire a babysitter for the night if their kids didn’t like the daycare? Anything could happen in that 3 minute walk back to the room. Being a parent is putting your kids first and if you can’t do that then you shouldn’t be one. Completely irresponsible. Those poor babies😢

3 minutes is not possible on the new large cruise ships even if your an World class sprinter. Obviously you haven’t been on a cruise in a long time. The restaurants are on different decks and there are 20 decks and more than 6,000 people impeding your route.

I think you have to be rage baiting. There’s no way that it takes 3 mins to walk from one side of the ship to the other. The last cruise I was on it was at least a ten minute walk and generally all of the rooms are separate from the entertainment and restaurants because they want to keep the noise down near the rooms. It’s also against the rules of the ship to leave your kids unattended. Even if the walk were three minutes, that’s long enough for a kid to choke or fall or stop breathing or have a seizure or get wrapped in their pajamas and strangle themselves or all sorts of other terrible things. I want to be able to have dinner alone with my husband, so I don’t have kids yet. When we are hopefully blessed with kids I will make sure my kids have someone watching them if we want to go out to eat alone, because date night is not worth their life.

Yes, you clearly have no children and quite possibly have never been on a cruise. Your concept of how parenting works and what cruise ships look like are 100% off. It takes more than 1 minute to weave yourself out of a dinning room on a cruise ship let alone navigate to the steps because screw an elevator in an emergency situation. Which dining room are you in? Are you forward or aft? Port side or starboard? Then compare that to where your cabin is and what is the emergency your baby is suffering? Yeah. Thus couple has absolutely been caught in poor parenting. And quite frankly it's easy for the cruise line to see if anyone else ever emerged from those SEPERATE cabins other than them to prove if those babies were left alone. Cameras are everywhere!

There is NOTHING to consider. Cruise ships are huge!! And the rooms and the dining area Are far away. Not close enough to run over to in case a.child chokes or if someone tries to abduct their child. Which was likely to happen, being that they are influenced.

My son is 2 and will wake up, open the door and walk downstairs in the morning looking for mom and dad. Imagine being on a boat...anything couldve happened. Kid couldve drowned, kidnapped, anything. Irresponsible parents

No this is wrong!!!!!! The signal on cruises are very glitchy. What if the FaceTime froze and they were actually crying but it seemed like they were still sleeping? There is a case where Madeleine McCann was abducted from her bed in Portugal while her parents were out to dinner in 2007. They also had family and friends on the cruise with them WHY COULDNT ONE OF THEM WATCH THE KIDS??? If you defend them you are trash.

I see both sides, but imagine leaving your baby at home while you have the baby monitor. Does that make it okay or would cps still show up and charge you with neglect?

What if there was a fire or safety drill etc, it would take more than 3 minutes to get to your kids. Not to mention what could happen to them being alone in a room. Either you're not a parent or you are a parent but not a very good one if you don't see anything wrong with this.

Buddy with all due respect I don't think you've ever been on a cruise if you genuinely believe they could have made it back to their cabin in under a minute. Showing Icon of the Seas (literally the largest cruise ship in the world) for that bit is peak irony lol. It takes longer than that to get from the pool to an elevator and those are on the same deck which I doubt their restaurant was.

Stranger would KNOW their kids aren’t with them, and steal them in seconds. People disappear on cruises all the time. Plus, they close the corridor to the rooms in an emergency. People run and react badly in an emergency, making getting to kids that are all ALONE even harder. It’s against the law. I hope CPS visits them regularly, they act like the kids ruined their lives.
