These are not disposable pop songs, they express deeply complex thoughts and emotions. Yet, it seems most people in the UK, just don't get how amazing these songs are and what an incredible album Letters is. For me it is as good as anything Sting has written or recorded and I hold him in extremely high regard.

I love these recordings in the Church Studios, just Matt's incredible voice and a guitar. Makes me think of Union Chapel. What an amazing night that will be, I can't wait. I also love Matt rocking with his brilliant band of course. Matt is one of our best singer songwriter musicians, such a shame he doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Some critics say that he can't sing his own songs because he sounds strained at times. What they don't seem to get is that he wants to sound like that. He wants it to sound raw. If you listen to Lost and Found from the single, he sounds smooth and polished as glass. He knows his voice is beautiful, but that is not what he is going for. He wants to convey raw emotions with these songs too. I think it is simply amazing.

His Unplugged Tour was a smashing success. He is headlining the London Acoustic Guitar show in Sept and in the meantime is in the studio recording solo album #3. It is his 6th if you count the Darwyn and Seven Summers albums.

I keep on watching the Sony UK facebook video of this tract from his KOKO gig. Sony made the footage amazingly good that I hope the DVD will be released.
