Don't forget that Matt has 6 albums now. As lead singer, guitarist,song writer and producer for the indie band, Darwyn he put out 2 albums, then repeated all of those duties for the amazing Seven Summers(both the name of the band and the album). Then after winning X factor UK, came 'Letters', 'The Fire' and 'Porcelain'. All recognizable as Matt's work, all slightly different, all awesome.You have to buy them on CD in some countries, while they are download only in others, but they are all available in one form or another world wide. There are also dozens of live cover videos too; rock,pop,R&B,country, folk and blues, he does it all.

I remember the chills I got when first listened to this in 2011 during a cold night. This song is full of such electric and passionate energy! Matt’s vocals are absolutely sublime and beautiful in this song especially with the chorus which sounds perfect. Man. The hook is so captivating and the video still gives me so many feels. It’s so thrilling!🔥This really should have been the first single for the Letters album. It would have done so much better if they had released the song sooner.

I have never cared about how popular a record is. I listen because I Iike it. Many of my most treasured albums were bought used or out of a bargain bin. I loved Seven Summers the moment I heard it. I loved his live covers. Matt had not even done the first live show on X Factor then. Whether he won or lost, could not have made me love his music any less. So whatever happens, obscurity or mega-stardom, I am a fan for life.

I found this great guy on Britain's go Talent. I don't who his manger is but he needs to get Matt in a plane and come to the United States. Then the whole world will know who he is. I have every album and I heard he is working on a new record coming out this year. So everybody buy it......he is a breath of fresh air. And, I'm a 56 year old women who loves ALL types of music. What he does is so amazing. And it's also refreshing to listen to music's that doesn't have profanity in it. Letters was put on pre-Christmas discount for 3.99P on Amazon UK and simply shot up the chart from around #50 to #6 in overall downloads, #3 in pop. That should push it over the 200,000 marker and into double gold. Matt's being on TV and radio so much is really helping him become a household name.

Cha Ching!! Starlight is being used as the music for an ad for the European Cup 2012 on Spanish TV. This is the second commercial using Starlight on Spanish TV to surface in a couple of weeks and the third commercial use of it so far. As one of the song writers, Matt gets a royalty every time it is played. Now we know why Columbia has never worried about how many singles Matt sells. They knew that his songs are a commercial goldmine.

It WAS Matt's & Columbia's choice as a debut single. But SyCo chose to kick it out in favour of the blatant GB promo stunt as the incoming head judge that year. One of the reasons Matt dropped their management in return and split with them after the tour so they couldn't do it again to his next album.

Exhibit A is this very case where he totally ditched SyCo, instead enthusiastically crawling and begging for more hyped stunts. Then there is the Ed Sheeran/Amazing copyright issue. He could have crowbarred his face into every tv show on the planet when the law suit hit (even tho it wasn't his) and fed off the madness. Instead he cut off all media outreach for the better part of 3 weeks EVEN THO he had just started his tour that very week. Usually he does all kinds of radio interviews while on tour for a bit of promo. He didn't even do those.

​@@elliotjohnson9415 Sadly xf totally exposed themselves with basically exorcizing Matt from their history :( like if they're not the slightest bit proud of how far one of their winners has been able to make it off his own back after giving him his initial leg-up (and boot up his behind regarding stage confidence LOL). That's why they can f right off from here to eternity when it comes to my book, and I won't be sad about "losing" their hype-laden "help". Luckily what he does get tho is lots of organic recognition. The followers he picks up along the way via theatre and collabs are very unlikely to jump off at a whim of the ever-newest hype. It's very much easier and healtier to maintain, and keeps the focus on the music, too.
