I met Matt in 2002 with Shane Bernard, watched him baptize some teens in the ocean. Decades later I learn he does jiu jitsu as I do and man that was so exciting to hear. Parallel paths, well sort of. 🎉

Kyle used to speak out against mega churches and then made friends with Joby. Now he's shoulder to shoulder with all the mega church pastors. I'm a fan but I think that it should be addressed.

Matt Chandler has been known to say that he wants The Village Church to be the fastest shrinking church in America. They had multiple campus’ as a “mega-church”, but have been sending them off to be completely autonomous within the last 10 years.

What makes a church mega? Jesus preached to 3, 4, 5 thousand people and that was men not including women and children. We have much much larger churches than Matt’s in DFW hahaha

Conversations that matter has done shows about this. He also just did an interview with lecrae that shows his hand. He maybe does martial arts, but that doesn’t make him a man to emulate
