Help me understand, if the detroit stang on houses in 08 was for person a to buy a house for 20k and sell it to a mark for 50k , then they take 20k off top and give her 5k and pay 18 months of mortgages, how was that netting a profit? I see a break even at best. Great to hear matt’s shit show of a story again with your framing

How much do you think that mortgage was back then? This was likely just before the subprime crisis, so I imagine cheap enough to yield a $5k-$10k profit when all is said and done.
