@@CaptainSkylander that is not what breaking the fourth wall means, breaking the fourth wall means you directly address the audience , on stage its directly and in film or TV it's to the cameras. The term comes from the early days of theatre where stages were proscenium arched with the audience sitting in front of the stage . The Characters world and the set consisted of the back of the stage and the two sides ( 3 walls) the audience occupied the fourth side and between the audience and the stage was an invisible barrier through which the audience can view the action but the characters within the play could not see the audience and became known as the fourth wall . Breaking the fourth wall literally means breaking that invisible barrier between the characters and the audience . On tv and film it is the same principle but the camera and the audience are that invisible wall (obviously does not apply to shows that involve an audience like talk shows which is why i specifically used the term character not actor). Pantomimes are the most common form of this in theatre and several films and tv shows have been known to do it ( cant think of any right now). what happened here was simply breaking character or a common term in the UK is corpsing

He realized his producer got a kick out of it and he just started to do it every night for a whole year before he invited Matt to come on the show for a staged fight where he really did it to him, started rolling the credits with Matt shouting "I knew he'd f'n do it" and their fake, back and forth feud began and eventually they have become very close friends!
