Clutch Powers i don’t know if you’re aware, but you can edit your comment if you make a spelling mistake (or any other mistake of course)! i’m on mobile, but i presume it would be somewhat similar if you’re on desktop. on the right-hand side in the bottom right corner of your comment there are three vertical dots - press them. when you’ve done that two options should be avaliable to you, edit and delete. just click edit and edit your comment however you want to, and then just click on the ’post’ button again and the changes you’ve made are automatically applied to your comment! also, if you see a comment someone else has made and you think that it breaks youtube’s guidelines (eg. bullying, hate speech), you just click the same three vertical dots on their comment and you can report it! i’m sorry if i’m overstepping, i just thought i’d help you out a bit if you were unaware of these things. if you already knew the things i explained, just ignore my comment! have a great day either way!

I think he used a trick on the calculator. I forgot how to do it but what it does is it makes anything you put into the calculator always add up to a single number no matter what so I'm guessing he used the trick and just added a few numbers to it to get the first guess and then take away those number to get the actual amount. Am I right? Plus he also said it doesnt add up when he was telling him if he fooled him or not.
@limepop3404 жыл бұрын
@@devinjiro If it is a math "trick", the biggest flaw is the core of the trick: getting 3 numbers (roughly in a predictable range but random for the most part) to add to 580. Typically stuff is along the lines of "Think of a number. Put a 0 on the end. Subtract your number. Divide by your number. Subtract 5. Your calculator says 4. Pay me." Clear steps that can be mathematically expressed and work with any input. This is not the trick. The trick as presented is pick 3 numbers, add them together. Boom. 580. There's no way to mess with operations because you've got up to about 20 pounds of wiggle room and numbers well over 100. So in the end, it's not a calculator "trick" and suggesting it is would be a gross underestimation of a magician's talent and skeptic's eye. You don't win applause and wonder via obvious forcing and plucking operations from thin air. He keeps it simple, has seemingly little control of the situation yet appears to nail the prediction. That's what separates a good performance from your everyday calculator trick. Edit: He has record of the actual volunteer's final total (580). He has the "error" predicted (short 23), then recorded on his arm. That's what he means when it "doesn't add up". The total, if true, is set in stone, so that reveal isn't a shock. The true reveal is the 580 generated from the volunteer and "predicted" by the performer.

Matt, you are PURE GOLD! Your performance made me laugh the whole time, it was so refreshing, never felt "forced" and was just amazing. Just that one performance I've now seen from you gets you in my best comedians ever list. And I don't mean that in a rude way or something, what you did was awesome comedy paired with magic and that is glorious! Also, you got me with your trick, no idea what you did there, but it fits you, the whole scene and everything just perfectly. Now I've got a real reason to visit the US one day :D Keep up your epic work and all the best from good ol' germany :D

I saw Matt at the Helium Comedy Club opening for Piff last April! Absolutely hilarious, but the audience was dumb lmao, kinda threw off the act. When Piff came out they roasted us for not being able to do basic math (which was true). Best birthday ever! So happy to see you perform again :)
