Huge fan of this song. Huge fan of the guy who wrote the bass lines. I also like the term hammer-on dead note to describe what you do mid chorus. I incorporate several of those into my own lines.

Black Lung brings out some memories bro. Myself & a good friend figured out that bassline on our guitars in 1998…. We didn’t own a bass so we made due. When I first listened to this song on my ipod shuffle (back in 2005 I guess), I loved it instantly. After a while (playing it over and over) I found out one of my earphones was lacking bass, it was broken. So I played the song on my CD player instead and was blown away by the bass addition ❤️ loved it even more since then and it's still one of my absolute favourite rancid songs. Have seen you guys play live twice now (in the Netherlands) and was hoping to hear Black Lung both times but I know it's not a mass favourite. But it's in my top 3 for sure! 💀 🖤
