I'm so thankful for this channel. I'm 45 and just started bass this year. It's invaluable to see your hands for an entire song and not the 2 seconds of screen the bass player gets in a live video. 😁

Right??? Every VHS I watched of Rancid they never show him :( I live in Brazil so the only way to see then live is by video and I always long for more Freeman action Of course I saw them at Lollapalooza Brazil hahaha wouldn't miss It for the world

The interview with Mike Dirnt was amazing maybe interviewing other bassist when you are around them would be great? What you are doing now is just amazing showing how you play while you play along to the track.

Hey Matt! The new Bass Bunker intro looks great! Good job to whoever designed it! This song is definitely one of my favourite tracks from War Horse. Do you think you could break out the wah pedal and treat us to some sweet Geezer riffs? Thanks so much for doing these videos on your personal time, man. I think I speak for everyone when we say we really appreciate it! Take it sleazy!

I found out about Charger from your interview with Zetro and bought the album before the episode ended. Warhorse is one of those albums I tend to listen through end-to-end while driving, but I have to make sure I'm using cruise control.

Charger is the best band in the last few years. It’s like Motörhead and Maiden in an East Bay Thrash band. 16 year old me would have run away from home to be your roadie, and 50 year old me wishes I could still circle pit without taking 14 days to recover. Come back to San Diego!

Thank you for making and posting these Matt. Rancid and Operation Ivy records were soundtracks to some of the biggest moments of my life. Chargers cool too even though I haven't yet spent the time to listen to the music in depth. My first roommate and I didn't have a whole lot in common, especially with music. He had just moved out from Vancouver and was super into Jazz, he played bass guitar though. When indestructible had just come out he was giving me a ride to an appointment, normally we just went by his car his music rules but this time I wanted to throw on the new Rancid record because I hadn't heard much off it yet. He was cool with it and after about 30 seconds he was like "wow the bass players awesome, I didn't know punk bands played like this." That album and specifically your bass playing was the first thing we had in common and could talk about.
