I absolutely love and am blown away by the decision to not have any conducting through the solos. Not only is it obviously a challenging design idea, I love the idea of really giving the soloists some freedom to just be musicians and guide the show for a bit. It’s so in the spirit of this corps. It’s beautiful guys.

The Garden of Love demonstrates the power of high-stakes drum corps themes. It is an au courant, profound, political harangue against the Desantis-era of sexual suppression. This show is a stirring anthem against his "Don't Say Gay" bill, which goes beyond a pearl-clutching fear of gay sex. Desantis's bil enters the realm of fascist dehumanization of Legibitiquois people, worldwide. The Bluecoats get the award for the most pointed political statement of all time in the drum corps activity. And in second place for the most political show of all time... the Bluecoats for their show, To Look for America, a poignant look at traditional military style drum corps transforming into an enlightened entertainment art form. The organization seems to have developed its own voice-- the mark of true artistry.
